  1. previous post link: So I have now figured that it is likely not a driver issue. It may be a hardware issue. In order to fix the issue for one day this is what i have to do. I turn the PC on and let it boot up then itll give up and gpu fans go as loud as they can, screen goes black, and the pc restarts. While its restarting i turn of the psu from the back switch, wait a few seconds then turn it back on with the case lid open. After this, the computer works perfectly fine. I am unsure if the PSU is the problem or the gpu. Perhaps its the way the power supply cables connect to the gpu and how theyre bent when the case is closed? But if i open the case lid and turn on the PC it will still restart. I have also tried just turning the switch off for the psu from behind before turning it on for the first time. Nothing changes. https://imgur.com/a/G1u5IdD that is a link to how the cables look with the case open vs how it looks when the case is closed. when its closed the loop cables connecting to the gpu is pressed down rather than jutting out.
  2. So I bought the gpu and psu at the same time. When I first put the gpu in I had the same issue and recall installing older drivers and it was fine. Both are about a month old. I’m unsure about the gpu firmware
  3. Updated drivers for my rtx 2070 super through GeForce now and when I turn my pc on and open chrome or do anything that requires some juice a black screen appears, fans go really loud then the pc restarts. Tried to go back to previous drivers from late March but same issue. Unsure what previous drivers I had. If I use ddu and uninstall drivers then the computer runs fine without having updates drivers. So like whatever windows installs or no drivers. Sometimes after installing drivers it’ll work fine, but if I restart pc to be sure the issue comes back. I have a evga 700 watt bronze psu. Basically can’t use the computer please help
  4. I have a gsync only monitor and need a gpu upgrade. I’ve been looking at the 2060 but I hear the amd series gpus are better for the price. Does gsync really matter that much to only stick with Nvidia or is it not a big deal to just use a amd gpu. Side note did amd fix the driver issues for their gpus or is that still and issue lol
  5. I don’t plan on ever upgrading the cpu unless I really have too. I just mainly worry about graphics cards and if they’ll get bottlenecked by the cpu. Also do you think the difference between the 3600 and the other two is really that big?
  6. Yea I plan on upgrading later on when it gets cheaper but for now a friend is giving a 1050 ti
  7. Really? I heard that the i5 might have better gaming performance or is that bogus.
  8. I’m making a entry level to mid tier pc and would like some suggestions on what cpu to use. I’ve narrowed it down to the i3 9100f, i5 9400f and then Ryzen 5 2600. I am unsure what to get. I plan on using a 1050ti for the time being then upgrading later to a graphics card in the $250-$300 range during the summer. I was wondering what would be the best performance wise and best future proof cpu (least bottlenecking cpu). Don’t do any cpu intensive tasks. Pc is for gaming. Won’t be doing any overclocking either. Sorry if I say something dumb. Thanks again. Also in Canada
