  1. Probably the easiest route. But love a challenge too. If all else fails then that's what I'll do.
  2. I get no signal when trying to use the second slot on my old gpu.
  3. Correct me if I am wrong but in order to do this properly with my current configuration I would need a processor with integrated graphics so that I can flash the Vbios on my card? I have my old gpu in the Pcie16x-1 slot so that I can boot my pc but cant seem to register my 3080 is my 2nd slot.
  4. So it must be on EVGA then? Not my first rodeo flashing. Very careful about these things.
  5. I'm capable and willing to learn. If you have a suggestion then I'm all ears. I don't understand why restarting pc during a driver download would ruin the bios. I was not installing anything when restarting it was simply a downloading online then the download froze at 99%. I noticed display acting out after flashing the Vbios. I was very careful about not restarting DURING an update.
  6. That's one hell of an expensive paperweight. Any suggestions on how to reset the Vbios?
  7. Hello. I'm in a bit of a bind. I currently am running an Asus X570 Plus WiFi mobo with a 5800x cpu and a EVGA XC3 Ultra RTX 3080 GPU. I flashed my GPU using the precision X software to gain Resizable Bar Support And my download froze while downloading the latest nvidia driver. After trying to reset my pc I have no signal. And I can't even get into my Bios on my mobo. I tried resetting my mobo by jumping the CMOS with no luck. I updated the bios on my mobo about a month ago in anticipation for the RE BAR update and now I have nothing. I powered down my pc and unplugged it for a bit, touched the power button to try and reset it. Removed my ram and powered my pc on and off then reinstalled with no luck. Unplugged my GPU and powered on and then reinstalled with no luck. I am able to boot using an old AMD GPU(REALLY OLD) I have laying around but now I'm stuck with a 3080 that won't post. I've tried updating to the latest bios on my mobo and messing around with the pcie settings and nothing. Is there any way to reset the bios on my gpu manually? The only thing I can think of that I may have messed up is that I tried to update my gpu bios before the latest nvidia driver. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  8. After rolling back the firmware on my controller all is fine. For some reason, the most recent firmware caused the game to have a "glitch, glitch, glitch micro stutter." Before I built this new PC I had recently updated the controller to the most current firmware. I reinstalled the original firmware to the controller and all is well now. So I can confirm that the controller connectivity through Bluetooth was the issue, not the onboard Bluetooth itself.
  9. I agree that it is very strange. I used a different motherboard also. I went from the x570 MSI Gaming Edge Wifi to the x570 Asus Tuf Wifi. As far as the lag is concerned I believe its the controller itself contributing to the issue(hence the reason I referenced it above)but I have no other controller to test and see if that is the case at the moment. I'm planning on doing more troubleshooting soon so when as I do I will inform you of my findings.
  10. First off Id like to thank you for all of your help. I've spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what the problem may be due to this being a new build. I went above and beyond things I normally would have done and because of that I have gained much knowledge on memory timings and understanding how this new Ryzen system architecture operates. But I have found my problem. Overlooked by what I thought must have been a much more complicated issue, researching and reading of similar problems many others have faced pretty much blind folded me. I purchased a different x570 motherboard today and installed it trying to rule out any hardware compatibility issues. After starting Gears 5 my controller was not connected. So I powered it on mid game and the game itself freaked out. Dropping frames and stuttering more so than I had seen previously. After exiting the game I made sure that all my Bluetooth drivers were in order, then restarted the game. Same stutter. But then I had a thought...it couldn't be that simple could it? I connected my controller via USB and BOOM!!!! No...more...stutter. I about punched my screen in frustration. It was Bluetooth lag the whole dam time. I was relieved yet disappointed in myself at the same time as I rarely reach out for help and try to self diagnose problems. Pretty embarrassing. But if my simple mistake can save someone the frustration over time it makes up for it. But just to be be sure I put my original motherboard back in and ran the same tests and it proved to be the case. For reference I'm using the 8bitdo SN30+ Controller. I'll look into trying to get this latency figured out. I went from using a Bluetooth adapter to onboard Bluetooth so maybe that has something to do with it. Not quite sure why it only affects certain games or why increasing the resolution helped but at least I know what it is.
  11. I see, thank you for numbing it up for me. I believe this is the correct configuration. If it is then the theory has proven inconclusive unfortunately. The one thing I love about this troubleshooting is how much I have learned. Im not giving in until I figure this issue out!
