I recently found an old pc which I am planning on to upgrade. The first thing i want to upgrade for sure is the ram, and here are some of my questions.
also these are my specs
motherboard:asrock b85m pro4 (not sure, but it probably is, as all i know is it has an lg1150 socket, 4 ram slots, and its made by asrock)
cpu: pentium g3220 3.0ghz 2cores 2threads
ram: 2gb ddr3 1333 made by a random company im not sure about.
OS: windows 10 32bit
So my questions are:
Is it okay if I mix ram companies, and will it also be okay if I add a 4gb ram stick instead of a 2gb ram stick? (so its 4+2) Also they will be still ddr3 and 1333mhz.
Will I still get the benefit of dual channel?
Will the +4 gb ram help a lot in terms of web browsing, and playing games? (CS:GO, Minecraft & other e-sport titles) and how much will it help in FPS or percentage?
Also will adding more ram speed up windows boot time and maybe other games? I'm asking this cause whilst checking a comparision the higher ram systems booted up faster, and im not sure if this is true.
And off-topic question:
What gpu should I get? (Also I don't know if this matters much, but on the motherboard it's PCI-express 3.0)
(I only want to play cs:go, rocket league and light games so I don't need anything very powerful)
