  1. Somewhere else I got same advice, so I looked and will probably go with Cooler Master Silent Pro M500. It's modular, so I'll be able to set more drives in the future (don't think I will, but at least I'll be able) and it has good wattage on 12 and 5 rails (better than what I wanted to use before). Or Thermaltake SMART SE 530W. Should I go for higher 12v of 5v?
  2. Hi, I'm thinking about splitting my gaming/server pc into two pcs, so I need a lov voltage base for my server. What I found is Asus n3150m-e mobl, which almost suits my needs - only 2 satas while I have 8 3tb drives I can and want to use. However I have a sas card, so it's not a problem. Question is if n3150 would be enough for max 2-3 users at once homeserver? Only data, maybe sometimes torrent if it's possible on nas softwares like truenas or freenas (never used them, it'd be my first standalone server). Another question I have is about power supply. This mobo, including ram and sas card, shouldn't take more than 20-25W, adding drives (8 HDDs and 1 SSD) gives me 100-110W on max load. Could I use an optiplex, Lenovo or veriton supply? They are 200-250W which should be more than enough and as I want an open case build it won't mind it's not an atx sized.
  3. I have similar question. My main PC doesn't have it anymore, but one i use as htpc has one slot, so I'm looking if there is a reason to use it? Other problem is that I would need low profile card, so there is even less cards to choose from... Considering I don't need additional Ethernet port, more usb ports or seats/FireWire ones and sound is coming out through GPUs HDMI, than what? It's there anything else pcie could be used in modern PC with Windows 10?
  4. Unfortunatelly fans I bought got only one cable like that, so I'm looking for two more (or even more for the future). Cannot find in in my country, but maybe there is something from UE with a shipping to Poland? PS. I know there is splitter in the package of the fans, but I already have splitter with connectors compatible with what ASUS choose for their mobos. I would prefer to stay with one splitter and one from fans has only 5 VDG connectors and I got 6 fans.... I mean something like I attached?
  5. Hmm, have to say I have no problem with 3000 DOCP memory sticks with my 2600... Not sure why it won't work as it works fine...
  6. @manikyath What's Your PC specs? Is it a lot better or similar to what I have? I just don't want to end with 2nd Crapdows
  7. I'm looking for a distro which will be so complete for what I need and so slim that it will work on my SFF PC. What I'm looking is best fullOS or a base for watching media from PC's drives as well as via streaming from my main PC in local network and playing similar way (ie. using Steam In-Home Streaming). Best if it would have an easy to use via gamepad na air mouse UI - something like KODI has (but LibreElec etx. doesn't support Steam...). The SFF PC is made of mobile AMD E350D 2-core CPU (now with boards "cooler", but I'll probably will customize one I have to meet the screw placement and size requirement's of the board) and it's Radeon 6310. It has 2x4 GB DDR3 1333 (@1066 cos of board), SATA SSD and HDD for data. Only USB 2.0, but 10/100/1000 LAN and AC7260 WLAN card (at PCIe X1 adapter). Right now I have Win10 installed, but it works shi^^y. It's so laggy that I cannot see it working great with what I want it to be able to do. Any idea?
  8. In the end I got answer from Sapphire and it wasn't the card I found - it was typical RX570 without the outputs. Typical so very "slow" comparing to SE variant. And I just sold my old Mobo (AsRock Z77 OC Formula) and got enough money for 2nd SE
  9. @mariushm That's why I'm also waiting for an answer from the seller.
  10. Ok, thanks. So I'll probably order it. It's almost hald the price for RX580 and Hah, i already created Sapphire ticket and asked seller if I could send it back if it won't work. Will se what he answers.
  11. A1. Ok. A2. I don't want to. That's why I was thinking about buing one where it was used for a longer time. More chance that it will work for longer. However I no longer think about one as much as about the mining card. A3. That I know. A4. But will the mining card allow Crossfire? It will be he slave, as it doesn't have the outputs, that for sure. And it's not too long to be a slave. But Will it work as the card is made for mining?
  12. As far as I know (AMD people from reddit says that) 2nd card is used more as and slave one and RX580+RX570 will act same as two RX580s (but RX570+RX580 will be like two RX570s) with clocks of the slower one and RAM of the one that has less memory (here there is almost no difference in clocks (memory are faster in RX570) and same amount of RAM in both cards). However it doesn't matter. It's not what I asked about The question is: How will it work if the RX570 is mining card? It's not the normal card, however in tipical usage it misses just Out ports, ports I wouldn't even be able to use, so it may not have them.
  13. I'm thinking about doing a CF. Now I have RX580 Nitro+ SE, but I'm looking for a 2nd card. Was thinking about 2nd Nitro+ SE or Nitro+, but they cost a little (have enough, but if I can spend more...) - 500 (Nitro) or 550 (SE) PLN for the cheapest ones (used ofc) - it is 120/135$. Than I thought about RX480 with RX580 BIOS, but there I would need one with 100% working BIOS and Strix OC would be best coz of (I believe from what I read) best cooling capabilities of all RX480 cards. Found one, but seller already bricked two cards and is not willing to play with more.... (there I would pay ~400 PLN = ~100$). Than I found, here on reddit, info that RX480/580 + RX470/570 would be practically same as two RX480/580. That gave me more field to look for cards. And I found "holy grail" - Nitro 8GB for 280 PLN (70$). Only problem it is mining one. Do You know id it will work with normal RX580? Present one would act as video out card, so I don't mind that it doesn't have any ports out. But... WILL IT WORK? AS Mining RX570 has clocks at 1420/2250 and Sapphire RX580 has 1430/2000, than there won't be a lot of difference (and RX570 will be 2nd card not the main one). PS. Right now I would like to thank for all the "CF is dead", "sell it and buy newer GPU", etc. comments. I don't have time, money to do that, or don't mind, or give a f. Thanks, danke, merci, dziękować!
