  1. Since I got my Oneplus 8T phone, Youtube has been stuck at 60hz refresh rate, along with some other apps, even though the phone has a 120hz refresh rate display. But after upgrading to Android 14, there's now an option under settings - display - refresh rate called "app specific refresh rate", where I noticed the Youtube app was set to only 60hz. I changed this to 120hz, and now it finally runs at 120hz refresh rate. And for some other apps with this issue, changing these from 120hz, to 60, and then back to 120hz, fixed the issue for those apps. Just wanted to share this, in case somebody else has a similar problem. I'm not sure if this app specific refresh rate option is available on all phones, or even all Oneplus phones, but at least it's a solution for some people out there.
  2. How do you all think the universe will end? This video gives an idea of how it might end, based on 2019 science and estimates. And if anybody is struggling with finding a purpose in life, this video will show how insignificant our time as humans in the history of the universe is:
  3. Why we have walking, bicycles, busses, BRT, Tram/Light rail, metro, local, regional, Suburban, and intercity rail as well.
  4. Will you be riding this new high speed rail line between LA and Vegas when it opens for the 2028 olympics? The company is already succesful in Florida between Miami and Orlando, where demand is beyond their current capacity. i know I would, with the extreme traffic congestion on the highway between these 2 cities, and flying being expensive and a pain in the airports.
  5. Totally agree, but don't know, that's why It would be fun to set up a program to calculate all that math automatically, donating rice without doing anything yourself.
  6. There's a trend towards lower speed limits in cities all over the world, but why is this happening? What is the research behind it? And what is the "correct" speed limit for cities, anyway?
  7. Yeah, exactly. Something else I was wondering. Is it possible to write some code, or use som software, to automatically calculate math questions on websites like freerice in the background, so you don't have to answer the questions manually? I mean, it's not more cheating than using a calculator to calculate the math questions, it's just automated instead.
  8. How to stream 4K disney plus on mobile devices? I know the app doesn’t support it, but in the past I could use a browser, and then load the Disney plus website by selecting “open the desktop version”, which gave access to 4K streaming, but this doesn’t work anymore. it’s mostly to get a bitrate increase that I want this option.
  9. On the following website, you can answer many different categories of questions, and for every correct answer, you donate 10 grains of rice to charity, for free. You can also make a free account, and track your score and earn badges. The website is 100% legit: Please share this, as most people don't know it exists, and that they can actually make a difference this way. https://freerice.com/ Here are 2 other websites that work the same way: https://freewheat.gear.host/ https://beanbeanbean.com/
  10. In BOINC, I'm stuck on "downloading work from the server", after choosing the "Rosetta@home" project. Can somebody please help me out?
