Hello LTT community.
I am a first time poster, so please excuse if i selected the wrong category for this.
I currently have a problem with my home network. I have a 300 Mbit copper internet connection. I am using a Unifi USG / Unifi Switch and access point. The good news is that the majority of the internet does reach the advertised speeds of my ISP. Now here comes the problem. I do not have access so some website such as netflix when i want to access with my TV, Windows PC or apple devices. The funny thing is that the android app does work, but loading takes arround 3-5 minutes. I assume that the android app does not time out while Apple, Microsoft and my Samsung TV do time out.
I spoke with my ISP and even though they were really friendly, all they asked me is to check my DNS server and they gave me a new fixed IP address (no idea what this should solve but it was worth a try). I tried several DNS servers (the once from my ISP, google, opendns and cloudflare. None of them changed my situation.
Running the command nslookup gives servers that appear to be from Netflix. This is why i really believe that it is not a DNS problem.
Does anybody have an ideas or workarrounds?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
