  1. Ok, so i have found the problem and a solution. The config file 'WillowEngine.ini' that controls all the graphical settings for the game had different values to my Borderlands 2 one. The Pre-Sequel one had things like Dynamic Lighting, bloom, motion blur, fog and lens flares set to false. (off) so the game was in fact not running on the same settings as 2 I have now copied the Pre-Sequel 'WillowEngine.ini' into the Borderlands 2 config files over writing the previous one and now have the expect frame rates. Here is a link to the modified 'WillowEngine.ini' for improved frame rate if anyone is interested: http://www.mediafire.com/view/18fg2220raachcv/WillowEngine.ini Make sure if you use this file that it is set to read only when the game is running! To change in game settings such as view distance or texture quality you must do this every time you launch the game, or find the appropriate settings in the .ini file and edit them manually. To edit it them manually you must close the game, right click, properties, uncheck read only, then open and search within the file. Once done save and remember to make read only again. Thank you all for your help and suggestions.
  2. 40-65 fps on minimal settings with 1280x720 resolution with borderlands 2 the fps can drops down to around 10 for a split second or two when in combat but this isn't very frequent i didn't notice as many fps drops on Pre-Sequel it very rarely drops to around 50 and this is only very briefly
  3. cpu temp aprox 78C peeking around 83C gpu temp aprox 68C Pre sequel changes between 65-90fps depending on where / what is going on in the game 2 between 25-50 with simular temps run directly one after the other
  4. i have a 60hz screen and should be able to run at +60 fps with my current settings and specs. Im not really ok with the 30fps it runs at, at the moment if i should be able to reach 60+. Like with The Pre-Sequel
  5. I have both a copy of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre-Sequel installed, however Borderlands 2 gets significantly lower frame rate. I revive approximately a stable 70 fps whilst playing The Pre-Sequel, but with Borderlands 2 barely able to have a stable 30 fps, on exactly the same in game settings? Both are set to High in Task Manager and are defiantly running off my Nvidia GPU and not the Intel one also in my laptop I do not have Nvidia Ge force Experience installed , nor is Nvidia PhysX. (I uninstalled both to see if it would resolve the issue with no change). My system specs meet recommend and I'm able to play Pre-Sequel comfortably on Max +60fps (minus PhysX) I have tried a clean install of Borderlands 2 as well, as a previous version (no difference) I've deleted the .ini files located in MyDocuments/My Games/Borderlands2 and run the game (wich replaced them) with no change Tried allocation more memory to Borderlands 2 using one of the .ini files with no change In-Game settings (for both games): Mode: Full Screen Resolution: 1336x768 (native) V Sync: Off Frame rate: Unlimited Anisotropic filter: 16x Bullet Decal: High Foliage Distance: Far Texture Quality: High Game Detail: High Ambient Occlusion: On Depth of Field: On FXAA: Off View Distance: Ultra High PhysX Effects: Low Textue Fade: Off Colorblind Mode: Off System Specs: Laptop: ASUS K53SV Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (347.52) driver CPU: Intel® Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) Ram: 4096MB DirectX: 11 NVIDIA Control Panel settings: Preferred graphics processor: High-performance NVIDIA processor Use global setting (High-performance NVIDIA processor) Ambient Occlusion: Quality Anisotropic filtering: Application-controlled Antialiasing - FXAA: Off Antialiasing - Gamma correction: On Antialiasing - Mode: Application-controlled Antialiasing - Setting: Application-controlled Antialiasing - Transparency: Off CUDA - GPUs: All Maximum pre-rendered frames: Use the 3D application setting Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration: Multiple display performance mode Power management mode: Prefer maximum performance Shader Cache: On Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample ooptimization: Off Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow Texture filtering - Quality: Quality Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: On Threaded optimization: Auto Triple buffering: Off Vertical sync: Off Virtual Reality pre-rendered frames: 1 Game Versions: Borderlands 2: v1.8.2 Borderlands Pre-Sequel: v1.0.1
  6. you could try just repairing the client by opening it and clicking the cogs in the top right but it will take a while and mine usually downloads about 2GB. ( I would try everything else before this )
  7. Have you tried updating adobe air? ( http://get.adobe.com/air/ ) Do you meet minimal specs? ( http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri ) Is it blocked via your firewall? (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/communicate-through-windows-firewall#1TC=windows-7 ) or your antivirus? (try disabling completely) ( then open LoL as admin by right clicking ) Port forwarding wont hurt. (http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm ) If all of these are okay maybe try: Uninstall League of Legends via control panel. Download from their website. ( https://signup.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload ) Re-install. (don't press play) Uninstall pando media booster via control panel . Open the client and wait for update to complete. After the updating is complete you're all good.
  8. I found a solution to the start up loop that was occurring! Laptops come with windows already installed and you usually aren't provided with a disk or key so to reformat a laptop in this case with an ASUS k53sv you hit F9 whilst it is booting then F8 for more options after that i selected last know working config this restored the laptop to factory defaults. It now boots like the day i purchased it!!!! I believe that the loop was occurring because the format or the drive deleted the pre-installed ASUS software provided and perhaps these are required for start up? Thanks everyone for you help and advice and thank you for the .iso link i couldn't find one earlier
  9. The disk I had was damaged but i still have the key so it is torrented software burnt to a disk with a legitimate key but i have used this key and disk on other machines without this problem all though they weren't ASUS nor a laptop
  10. I have it all on my Google drive have removed CD and changed boot order and it is still occurring I re installed again whilst wring the post it just finished and the blue screen is still there
  11. I own an ASUS k53sv and i just re installed windows 7 ultimate on it. It has been running slow and i was fed up. I decided on a clean install. I backed up all my stuff and inserted the CD, changed the boot order and begun the installation. The PC had a partitioned drive so i deleted the partition clearing it and formatted the correct drive that was labeled system. I went through all the steps until it rebooted a few times it was all going smoothly until after with windows 7 splash thing with the 4 colors that spin around to create the logo a screen i haven't seen before appears displaying the ASUS logo with some blue swirly lines and and a navy colored background. Then the computer just restarts does the ASUS splash thing the windows one then sits at this new ASUS screen and tries again over and over. I don't know what to do and i need some advice! Did i do something wrong with the windows setup? Is it something ASUS uses to prevent a new OS being used? Can i fix it? Specs: Intel® Core™ i5 2430M/2410QM/2410M Processor Windows 7 Home Premium (HAD) Intel® HM65 Express Chipset DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM, 4GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M - 2GB DDR3 VRAM 750GB 5400rpm
  12. WOW its all fixed thanks so much everyone this really helped i believe the problem was some intel software i had installed a while back that managed my wifi connections. i also rolled back the drivers on all my network devices and now there is no stuttering and low latency with the ndis.sys file not even breaking 1.0 in highest execution. Thanks everyone for all your help I really am so thankful that it wasn't a failing cpu or heating damage!!
  13. Using LatencyMon I've found the issue causing all the latency. The question is what do i do with this information? If I'm correct .sys is a system file meaning it's apart of my OS so deleting them wouldn't be smart.
  14. Ok so i downloaded and ran DPC latency checker and these were my results http://tinypic.com/r/2ic3xu1/8 and i used Real Temp GT 3.70 my max temp was 82°C and min was 47°C
  15. its not just YouTube that stutters its my whole computer, it's just more easily recognizable because of the audio, and moving video. Watching or listening to a video in vlc or wmp also stutters no it is in high performance what do you mean by switchable graphics if the laptop is un-pluged running just off battery the stuttering still occurs and i just tried other power outlets and its still there. I even tried just direct ac without the battery attached I know my laptop gets very hot, the fan exhaust split my wooden desk putting a crack right through it because the wood was so hot! could you recommend a free program? .
