My old PC was an i5 3470 which I ran with an R7 370 2gb graphics card. It ran just about anything, maybe not with the best graphics.. but things like Kingdom Come Deliverance were playable (some of you might disagree due to the graphical limitations) and I had yet to find a game that I couldn't run at all.. I was content.
I would not have upgraded had my mobo not decided to die on me, and due to the scarcity of 1155 socket motherboards. I did find one, but it got stuck in the mail so I ended up buying a 6600 with a gtx 1080 from a friend, after which I swapped that mobo and cpu to another friend for his i7 8700.
The motherboard I ordered in the mail eventually arrived, so I slapped the 3470 in there and once I get a cheap PSU and case... and another HDD.. I will put it together with the old faithful R7 370 as a spare PC since it's still decently capable.
