  1. Ive been recording with geforce experience, and Im noticing that in the gallery the videos look great, but when I view them through media player on windows, it shows HUGE lag spikes and issue with the quality. Same goes for OBS, and I believe the cause of it looking so bad lies somewhere in some settings I'm not sure about. Does anyone have any idea what to do. BTW I tried uploading the file to google drive and viewing it, and all of a sudden there are no frame drops except when viewing in media player. thanks for reading!
  2. Im running like performance mode not all epic settings. Its just odd, ive run the unigine heaven benchmark and im at 97 percent usage, but in actual games, I cant seem to do that it might be normal but idk update: apparently its normal not to be on high gpu usage, Im just oblivious fr ig, mb
  3. 1080 p, just installed the drivers using nvidias website, I have gsync turned off, and in all honesty got no idea where to turn off vsync Update: Vsync is off in forttnite, and i just turned it off in nvidias settings so no vsync
  4. I reset the pc downloasded drivers and didnt touch anything AT ALL, right now im watching a video and adjusting the settings for best usage Yeah, still no change its like 20 percent gpu usage lol
  5. Cpu is an i7 8700k, Ram is corsair vengance 16 gb at 3000 mhz, sorry I forgot
  6. Hey guys im running a game on a 3060, im running fortnite and i noticed my performance isnt what i wanted it to be. The pc Im on is used, I bought it froma guy and when i benchmarked it when i bought it on unigine heaven the gpu was at 100 ish percent. But i reset the pc so I could start fresh, and now on fortnite and valorant its not using much gpu, its fine for valorant because regardless im gettting fps in the 200's but its problematic for fortnite because Im not constantly able to reach 165 fps (my refresh rate. i did install tthe 3060s drivers prettty recently, and turned on xmp, but thats all I have done. Its likely a simple fix, but I dont really know it. Any advice is appreciated!
  7. So, i followed the instructions on the google website, and its working now. I really didnt wantt to have to open my pc up because when I did last time to move my ram to slots 2 and 4 for dual channel, it literally didnt boot. Not sure if its the 2nd slot thats broken or smth. I mightt try 1 and 3 later. Thanks for the help though!
  8. No, some dude built it. I think i found the problem some website says if I have Bios mode on legacy mode, then it wont work. But it doesnt really tell me how to fix that so im a bit confused Edit: its telling me I need to change from MBR to GPT, and that in doing so theres a risk of my drive not working anymore, so atp idek what to do.
  9. that helped me get into recovery mode but then what, I tried pressing restart and tthen spammming delete, and ended up with a flashing white line in the top left of my screen. Im not really sure what to do.
  10. Okay so that worked up until the UEFI firmware settings part, that wasnt an option for me.
  11. alright Im using a 60 percent keyboard that might be the issue, im going to try the shift method
  12. Im on a pc i bought second hand, its my first pc and I'm unable to enter the bios. I tried spamming f2 f10 and delete. im on the z370 hd3p gigabyte motherboard. Ive watched videos that said to turn off fast startup but that doesnt help, I dont even see the motherboard logo before seeing the windows logo. any help is appreciated!
  13. Thanks alot, the whole transaction was a bit awkward because downloading all the things on public wifi was something i didn't take into consideration( ill def buy a hard drive if i do this again). I'll make sure to do that once I get my monitor. I was just on edge about the whole thing because the pc was listen for 400, but I'm glad everything turned out well. Thanks!
  14. So i got the pc, cpu worked well, good temps i dont even think about 50 c it had an aio and stuff, the mhz was good too. It was a i7 8th gen however not 9th gen. The 3060 wouldnt show up in my user benchmark test, and msi afterburner didnt have the option to see the mhz of the gpu in my overlay, but it did on my home pc. I think its because the drivers havent been updated. But unigine heaven ran fine, i did ultra and got 70 + fps i think. it looks nice but the wires are all clumsy so I plan to redo all the wires w zipties and stuff. The board was a z390, so the upgrade path isnt very clear, but Im perfectly happy with it so far, I just need to buy a monitor and test it on the games I play. Note: even though I couldnt seee gpu mhz, it did show temps and even at 100 % usage the temps were quite low I'd say, the pc was quiet aswelll, I might change one of the fan placements because its behind the hard drive/ssd trays, so im not sure it can bring in much air, although it could be an outtake fan
  15. thanks so much man, youve been a lifesaver I appreciate it alot.
  16. I got word that its supposedly an i7 9th gen cpu, what mhz should i expect from that, is it 4.7 ghz like it says online?
  17. that clears it up so much, would having msi afterburner open(on the screen) while doing a benchmark like unigine heaven mess up the accuracy of it? or is it miniscule? EDIT: Sorry didnty realise it could be used as just an overlay, nvm
  18. hey man, looking up the 3060, im a bit confused. This might sound dumb, but if the person never overclocked their gpu then its mhz would only ever reach its base clock right? or does it automatically move up to 1777 mhz. sorry for a seemingly obvious quesiton, im just a bit dumb when it comes to these things
  19. thanks for the idea, although I dont have an usb stick, and wouldnt really know how to set it all up, im just going to download it quickly and run it there.
  20. Hey everyone, so I'm going to be buying a used computer off of facebook marketplace tomorrow. It has a 3060, not sure the cpu yet, but the build is nice w/ an aio and everything. The person agreed to let me test the computer before I buy it, to make sure everything works well. What should i do, should I just boot up user benchmark? what if his pc isnt optimized, wouldnt it show below average results then, for the parts? Im just very on edge and dont want to get scammed, but this is a deal I cant pass up. Any advice is appreciated!
  21. Does that appply to other sellers on newegg, for example VRURC, on the newegg website? https://www.newegg.com/dark-gray-benq-mobiuz-ex240-24/p/N82E16824014917?Item=9SIBN6XJYE8261&SoldByNewegg=1&cm_sp=product-_-from-price-options
  22. Thanks alot, sadly the price increased for the benq ex240, and it's now completely out of my budget. I have found a decently reputable video review for the koorui showing that it's response times clock in at 3.5 with minimal overshoot, and the ghoting doesnt seem too bad. I'm going to keep looking though for another monitor like the Benq. EDIT: Found the monitor weirdly on sale for 150 on newegg, but some reddit post says not to buy delicate things like monitors from newegg, so idk. Source:
  23. yeah, the IPS panel koorui only has 1 or 2 reviewers and so im not sure whether to trust it. I would save 60 dollars rather than going with something like the benq ex240, which I was looking at. Im just afraid of getting terrible ghosting.
  24. With a bit of research, some are sayign the motion blurs fine. but others are saying that its horrible. I might just spend the extra 50 dollars on an LG
