i unplugged the additional 4 pin cpu power cable and it booted up just fine with the graphics card installed. i would assume that this means i am going to need a stronger power supply. Is this assumption accurate?

Hello everyone, I am a pc noob just built my first system which booted fine and clean installed windows 10. It was complete minus the gpu as that was in the mail. I installed it just now and my system will no longer boot. RGb on the mother board will light up as well as the onboard start button but not the ram or aio. When I press the power button I only hear a click coming from the power supply. Any ideas on what it may be? Asus Maximus Hero XI Intel 9700k Nzxt Kraken x72 Gskill 16gb ddr4 Samsung NVMe 1tb Asus strix 2080ti

Nope I sure didn’t thank you so much now I have to hunt that cable down and plug it in. Would it be included in the additional mother board cables or the power supply.

Yes sir I used the primary DIM slots as labeled on the motherboard which are in fact the ones you have described.

Thank you for the link I read over some of the possible solutions for that error code. I definitely have the standoffs in place as they were pre installed. The cpu 8 pin is secured in its socket however I don’t have the additional 4 pin hooked up because there wasn’t one included in my power supply. I will try to update the BIOS and see if that helps resolve the issue.

Yes boots properly has done so multiple times. And have done a clean instal of Windows 10 and the code on the motherboard reads A0.

Hello everyone, First time builder here, I just assembled my first PC and went all out for my dream build. I’m still new to PC building and am obviously very paranoid that I did something wrong. I assembled everything correctly as far as I know and I was able to install windows but when I boot I don’t hear the single beep that I have been told I should.
