  1. I used the brand new cables with Asia Horse sleeved cable extenders I just purchased,
  2. Hi, Today I upgraded my Corsair RM850i to an EVGA Supernova 1000 G5 due to my 6900xt being bottlenecked. I rebuilt my pc and powered on but I was greeted with popping noises, pump noises, and the smell of something being fried. Replugging in all the cables from my Corsair Fan Hub makes more popping sounds and my back Lian Li fan is spinning extremley slowly, like an centimeter a second and my rgb in my Corsair Cappellix Elite 240mm aio is all messed up, only one of my fans is glowing with only one zone being lime green and my AIO is a single color rainbow. The computer boots just fine? I am really stumped with this one. My full computer specs are listed below. CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x GPU: Radeon 6900xt AIO: Corsair Cappellix Elite 240mm Case: Lian Li Lancool 2 PSU: EVGA Supernova G5 1000 Fans: 2 Lian Li case fans, 2 Corsair Fans that came with the AIO Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Ram: 32gb of Corsair Vengance RGB Pro, 2 sticks, ddr4, 3200mhz. SSD: 1TB WD Blue M.2 and a Samsung 2TB 980 Evo SSD. Others: Lian Li Case Light Strip I think that is it. I will try my best to respond. If you would like to help me on Discord my ign is Sleepi#6569 Thank you so much!
  3. But what diffrence will it make on my CPU, PCIe 3.0 vs PCIe 4.0? Will it make it slower or will it make no difference?
  4. Hello, Due to plenty of issues with my motherboard, I am switching motherboards. I have my eyes set on this ROG motherboard, but am not sure if the fact that is B550 and not x570, as I previously had an x570 board. I also have a Ryzen 9 3900x and I heard that they aren't built to support higher end cpus. The only thing I have found on the internet is that "x570 boards have Gen4 PCIe lanes, while B550 boards have Gen3 PCIe lanes." and no other information. What is the difference, will it affect the performance of my GPU and CPU?
  5. Hello there, Recently I have been planning to upgrade my Alienware Aurora R3. It has an old BiOS with a workaround for a Windows 10 Install. There is one factor we know we have is that we cannot restart or it will go into a bootloop until we shut it down. CPU usage seems to be affected too. We decided to upgrade our video-card but found out that the RTX 980 is pretty much the highest supported GPU. From our research, it looks like the only way to proceed is by upgrading the motherboard to a more modern one. It looks like only very specific micro-ATX boards would work with controllers for the fan and lights. From what we know, the CPU pump might potentially not be compatible with the new board. Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be a shame to have such a good rig go to waste. There are random lag spikes in games where it will freeze for a good second then do it again every 3~ seconds. While it works flawlessly on some highest-settings on War Thunder, it can lag pretty much in any game, on any settings. This didn't happen before. Any ideas, reconmondations, or possibly anyone knows what motherboard would work?
  6. Nice, probably gonna go with 2060 Super after looking at the stuffs. [EDIT] I'm gonna wait for the 30 series for it to be cheaper tho.
  7. Hey there! I have been looking to upgrade my gaming PC recently but all I know is that my card is pretty good and 2080 Ti is the best. I game at 60 Hz @ 4k. My budget is 200 - 500$. I know pretty much nothing about cards, so give me your best picks for this.
  8. Check for audio source, that is where you should see it. Also, make sure voice chat is turned on.
  9. Depends on your preference, although I would go for the XPG or the Redragon. I have had both brands before and they lasted long. Best Regards, ILikeToSleep
  10. Go to settings, audio, and check where it says "Mic" and make sure you have your mic selected, rather than "Nvidia High Definition Audio" or "Steam Virtual Sound". Good luck, ILikeToSleep
  11. Hello, I have been using a gaming setup with two GTX 980s with SLI and I was wondering if I should use my friend's old graphics card. I don't have it on hand, but my friend assured me that is was very powerful. If someone could spare a minute and find out what the equivalent is, that would be much helpful. (Can't find anything online) Thanks, ILikeToSleep
