  1. They are accusing that overclocking memory ram breaks the memory controller inside CPU, its totally bullshit
  2. Not only overclocking voids warranty, now if you use a product that uses overclock like memory ram, and set this product automatically to not overclock (for example 2400mhrz), even if you don´t overclock, you will still loose your warranty, just because the product is outside intel´s specification.
  3. I know the retailer, and they did show what intel told them they are a really famous retailer from brazil, and they fought agaisnt many wrong things over the computer industry in brazil, like "warranty in the box" The big companies were selling products with 3 or 5 year warranty, but only outside brazil, so the warranty process was really complicated for us, and they fought agaisnt it and now all the big companies are doing the warranty according to whats written in the box, and inside brazil Trust me, they are legit, check their channel if you want
  4. Its like selling a car without hidraulic steering, then you get one hidraulic steering from the same company, and you loose your warranty from your car Makes no sense at all
  5. Thats not true if the company that sold the car did the performance package by themselves, and without changing their policy, out of nowhere they just stop to give warranty for the performance package Before this day, intel was doing the warranty service properly, now they are accusing that if you stick a 2666 memory ram with your intel, even if you use it as 2400mhrz, the memory ram will make you loose your warranty because the product is not supported
  6. True, and it doesnt matter if you used your 2666 stick with default 2400, you´re gonna still loose warranty because the memory isnt the ones that they allow you to use
  7. The retailer is saying that intel is refusing, and that didnt happen until now.
  8. The problem is, the retailer now is screwed, they´ve denied this warranty FROM the retailer, XD
  9. The person probably* didnt use as 2666 mhrz, but as far as you´re using one memory ram 2666+ you´re out of warranty here in brazil Doesnt matter if you did or not overclock the ram
  10. It wasnt on me tho, but what happens with the 20.000 or over intel computers that Chipart sold during the past 3 years? Usually they do give warranty for them, and they´ve said that if any intel comes back, they will pay from their pocket. But what about them? They will just loose money because intel changed their mind?
  11. Ye but if you´re using 2666 sticks, they will ask you the receipt from your memory sticks So you can´t lie on ram
  12. freaking insane ROFL Here in brazil, the 2666 memory ram is cheaper than 2400 mhrz So its 100% nonsense to buy intel nowadays
