    Not sure if this is true but by the looks of it it seems that the drive would be in contact with the gpu's cooler which is plastic.

    The slot is under my gpu so is it fine if they are touching?

    Bought my motherboard used (Gigabyte b450 gaming x) and it does in fact have a m.2 slot. Buying used isnt always a great thing but I got this for a really good deal. Had to zip tie my cpu cooler and did not get an i/o shield either. Now wanting to add a M.2 SSD to my system only to remember I did not recive the standoff or screw to mount the drive. Not sure if its that important but what is a good alternative SSD mounting.

    nothing would happen to my PC right? since I just heard this info now im kind of scared but if I do upgrade down the line (case etc.) I should change it or leave it for now.

    Wow I really didn’t know this psu was not made for this kind of system. I always thought this one was not good enough but I didn’t do enough research on which one to buy stuff like that.

    I put evga BR 500w for no reason cause I got confused with this all. But I guess I have a medium specked system? But I have high regrets on buying this now.

    At the time I thought this was a good inexpensive psu. It has been running fine but I guess I should change it?

    I would take what @aDoomGuysaid but if you really want to get into the bios instead of fixing the windows USB try clearing cmos which usually works or what most people and what I do is unplug all of your drives.

    It’s been about a year since I built my pc and at the time I picked a evga 500w 80+ white rated power supply. At this time I’m starting to regret the choice of getting those low rated psu. Nothing has gone wrong but will something?. I really have this feeling when it comes to pc parts since they are expensive. I will probably change the psu when I change my case but as for now I just need some advice on if this is good or not even if nothing has gone wrong.

    this drive came from an old laptop and is about 10+ years old. I might just run it as long as it can go then replace it with an ssd when completely. will use that app for calculating the time tho as im curious.

    looking at crystal diskinfo and im getting a caution with reallocated sectors count. not sure what it means but im guessing its bad? current is at 100 and worst is at 100 and threshold is at 5 does this mean my hard drive can be failing? if so how long until it does?

    yeah i have a 2tb seagate external hard drive and its on its way to failing and gets really hot (51c) so that is why im switching to wd

    right now i have the files on a good drive and another copy on a failing drive but this drive will also be for mass storage and will be powered up when somethings needs to be took off of it or put something on it

    drives can only fail over age? cause i have an old hitachi with reallocated sectors count caution and its around 11-12 years old but its still ticking. what drive would you recommend for this?

    dont really know how to set that up but im not going to have the drive spinning all the time so its not really a problem, it will probably be powered up maybe a couple times a month i just want to use it for mass storage

    I want to get a hard drive just for general storage around 2tb but I have no idea which one to buy since i see that western digital is good but seagate is also good and then there's Toshiba. I want the most reliable hard drive brand since i will be storing important files. I want a 2tb hard drive and it doesn't matter if its an external or not as i can get a case for it. budget is 100$ any suggestions?

    i used a HP laptop with an actual hdmi port. It works. The adapter is a thunderbolt 3 to HDMI for a macbook.

    I have a MacBook and I usually hook it up to a monitor since the MacBook screen is to small. 2 days ago it stopped displaying video so I unplugged my monitor and restart it checked the HDMI input and everything was fine. Took another laptop and hooked up the cab,e to it and it worked, since Apple too away all the ports I have to use a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter and I’m guess it’s the adapter that’s the issue. How would I test the adapter if it’s bad or defective?
