I'm looking to buy a new laptop soon, one with a powerful CPU (don't care much about the GPU, I will not be playing games on it), but I can never tell if the laptop really has DDR4 ram or if it's actually just LPDDR4.
I'm wondering if DDR4 can be swapped in for the LPDDR4? Is it just a drop in replacement or would the laptop not be able to handle it? I'm not giving examples of laptops I have in mind as I want a broad spectrum answer that would cover the widest bases.
Are LPDDR4 laptops capable of running full power DDR4?
