So I am new to the whole home lab thing. Just got myself a Proliant DL360p G8 server and wanted to run Proxmox. I am connected via iLO using the THML5 Console as I cannot for the life of me find a VGA cable in my house and I am impatient. I slowing got through the install process as it took a few seconds for keystrokes to register. Everything booted up and I loaded up the local IP web gui, just to find out that whatever password I did type, the system lagged enough that I have no idea what actually registered.
Well, now I am stuck trying to reinstall proxmox, which apparently I cannot do?! Everytime it boots the installer via USB or ISO mounted on the virtual CD drive, it just loads proxmox and prompts me for the password that I cannot figure out.
How, does one, reinstall proxmox? My current idea is to install something like TrueNAS which wipes the drives (which is fine this is the very first thing I am doing with the server) and then install proxmox over that???
