  1. Ya, kinda thought the same thing. I was just trying to find anything I could try. It's DDR5. Never really waited that long, I'm going to try that thanks for the input. I seem to remember hearing that now that you mentioned it. I think Jay2cents had issue with it training for 10 min. Anyway appreciate it
  2. I have the above motherboard it comes with a sata expansion card that plugs into said board. If that was missing, could it cause a yellow DRAM light on start up before loading anything. I flashed the latest BIOS with no issues, that I could see. But even If I switch RAM that is on the list on Asus website. It still didn't work. Won't go past that yellow light. So far I've, updated BIOS, switched RAM that is supported, used just a single stick, reseated the CPU. Made sure I unplugged any hardware that could interfere with anything. But also making sure it'll boot to bios. The only thing I could figure is that expansion card for sata missing. Or bad motherboard, that I bought from Newegg open box. (Yes I know it was a stupid move, won't happen again.)
  3. I've been searching for a aftermarket cooler. Besides, Ali express I can't seem to locate any. I have a Gigabyte RTX 3080 10gb card, no IO plate, no cooler and backplate. I looked and looked couldn't find anything. My question is simple, where can I find a aftermarket cooler with fans here in the US? I'm trying not to use Ali. Unless I'm just screwed and have to.
  4. Sorry, I forget people don't know what hardware i'm running. I'm just going to buy the 12600k its 20.00 extra dollars and I know it'll work with my hardware I've selected. Thanks
  5. I've looked all over, and I can't seem to find a answer to my question so I thought I'd try here. Trying to save a few bucks on a new build, I wanted to purchase a 12600KF, yes I know they don't have integrated graphics. I do however have a motherboard with thunderbolt 4 and a gpu enclosure with a 3080 in it for thunderbolt 4. My question is will it work? Or should I just get the 12600k and then I don't have to worry?
  6. No this post isn't about what you think it is due to the title. Pretty simple really, I've noticed a website named, you guessed it Black Market. Besides the shifty name, does anyone have any info on if they are legit? Or just another scam website. I've looked it over a few times it seems ok. But deciding whether or not it's a scam site isn't my strong suit. Any info would be appreciated, actual dealing with them would be very awesome. Thanks in advance.

    Solution?

I'm making a custom cooling solution for my laptop. Lemme try and explain this as close as I can. I'm making a TV tray kinda. In that tray I'm drilling holes and installing fans that'll remove the hot air coming from the laptop. I guess my question is, would installing the fans blowing up towards the vent holes of the laptop be better? Or would pulling the air away from the laptop be better? I assume pulling away would be more beneficial. Because the other would cause turbulence which isn't good. Anyway that's what my hypothesis is. Please correct me if I'm wrong, or maybe a better way entirely that I haven't thought of. Anyway any help would be appreciated.
  8. Not sure if this is the right topic for this section but. But hopefully this is good deal. I'm thinking about selling my older PC parts. I want to purchase a laptop and the extra money would be able to afford maybe a better gpu or cpu. At least that's my hope. My parts are as listed CPU:Intel I7 9700k MB:Gigabyte Aurous Elite MB (has a broken pin on one of the 5v connectors) AIO:EVGA 280mm DRIVE:Sabrent Rocket 1tb m.2 RAM:16GB OLOY DDR4 3200Mhz (I looked it up it's Samsung B) I looked everything up it added up to 790.00 brand new. I thinking about selling for 490.00 No offense but I won't probably sell it to someone that tells me it's worth allot less. And then offers to take it off my hands afterwards lol. But I guess I just want confirmation that is a decent price, or am I leaving allot on the table? Also should I sale it as a set or part it out because I could make better money that way?
  9. Haha, well I can't help it if everyone has great taste. Besides , I get a pass. The case is the only thing that isn't new on the build. It used to house the 9700k I bought early 2019. Call me a trend setter
  10. Sorry not the best picture. But, I think she turned out alright. I still have a few bugs and kinks to sort out. But over all is been allot of fun. Thanks for the help. I appreciate the time you took to stop and hash that out for me.
  11. I think you just solved this without knowing. Yes I'm trying to go over. And no I haven't touched my voltage. I can't believe I forgot to do that. I feel like a dumb butt. I'm going to do that lol. Sorry. I think the problem was I've been working on my computer all afternoon. Going back to cable manage. Stuff like that. And I just got frustrated and totally spaced on that fact.
  12. Yes, do you maybe think me enabling them. Then trying to manual time them could be the issue? Keep the xmp off make my adjustments while they are on stock? Or something else?
  13. I'm going to give you my computer stats just incase. I doubt that will help with my question. But someone always ask. CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x Video Card: ASUS RTX 2080 Super Duo Evo Mother Board: MSI B550 TOMAHAWK MAG RAM: 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE PRO 3200mz 16,16,16,16,34 I believe also I checked it's samsung b dye. Case: Lian Li 011 Drives: 1TB XPG SX8200 Pro Gen 3x4, 1TB T-Force Delta MAX SATA Anyway everytime I try to overclock my memory I don't care what I change without fail. I have to reset my bios just to get off a black screen. My board hangs on DRAM troubleshoot LED. And nothing. I've even set my timings super loose then dial back. But since it always hangs on the error I've never even had to dial back yet lol. Anyway I assume it's just user error. What I need is a really good guide top to bottom written out so I can print read, study. And correct my obvious evil ways so I can overclock my RAM properly! Anyway if anyone could drop a good link that would be awesome! Also if my stats screams WTF are you doing why are you even trying to overclock that trash that would be cool as well:)
  14. Can't find the overclocking board. Maybe I'm just lazy and I didn't see it. If there isn't one, which thread would y'all suggest to ask a few questions about general overclocking tips tricks? Maybe another msg board? Anything will help thanks.
