  1. Thanks for your reply and sorry I've taken a while to respond. I think you are correct re replacing the top lid. Thus far third party repair shops don't want to touch it. I bought the laptop refurbished from Amazon in the US. The manufacturer warranty has expired as has Amazon's refurbishment guarantee
  2. First post. Apologies if this is in the wrong section of this forum. Hi LTT Forums, Bought a Huawei Matebook X Pro in the US, screen has cracked (still working bar touch capability). I live in the UK. Huawei UK will not fix due to being purchased in USA, using the excuse "UK screens won't work on USA motherboards as they talk a different language". I've been advised to go third party. Not great customer service. Third parties so far have told me they won't/can't help. Has anyone had success replacing the screen without going via Huawei? From research I understand parts can be sourced via AliExpress, Taobao, Ebay but I'm not experienced enough to know whether it's just the LCD that needs replaced or the whole front panel. Nor am I experienced in determining the validity of these parts. Any advice would be a huge help!
