  1. The hardware is not the best on the normal ones and the high end macbooks is very expensive
  2. I know this is a dumb idea but take me seriously. I really like apples design of the macbook but i don't like the hardware (I know they are gonna relese their arm cpus but that is not my solution). I want to make a laptop in a macbook case but with a windows laptop inside so i don't have to be the weird one in the coffe shop. I mean isnt a laptop just a motherboard and a display with a small cable between them. Is it possible?
  3. Is intel also going to make a gpu this year. I have heard rumors about that
  4. ..Budget (including currency): 10 000 SEK around 1 000 dollars Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Virtual machines Photoshop MS flight sim. Should I upgrade my pc now or wait? My current pc: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Pcoolguy/saved/#view=yRFj23 My pc is technically from 2013 because of the ram, cpu and motherboard. My grandpa built it for me in 2017 with old parts he had. I would like to upgrade the cpu but I haven't done that because then I also need to upgrade the motherboard and ram. I am afraid that the same thing is going to happen if I upgrade now because it feels like ddr5 and AM5 is right around the corner. I will probably buy the RTX 3070 even though I only have PCIe 3.0 and I think i am able to wait for another year or two for ddr5 and AM5 if it means long term compatability. But should I upgrade my motherboard, cpu and ram now or should I wait for AM5 and ddr5 if you think about long term compatability?
  5. Should I upgrade my computer? Here are my specs: Cpu: Intel Core i7 4770K Gpu: Asus GTX 1060 3GB Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII GENE Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 GB DDR3 1600 Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB Also storage: Western Digital Blue 4 TB 3.5" 5400RPM PSU: Corsair RMx 750 W 80+ Gold Fan: Some noctua fan. Case: A Corsair mATX case My use things I will be running is Microsoft flight simulator, Photoshop, Virutial Machines I'm thinking of upgrading to this: Cpu: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Gpu: RTX 3070 Motherboard: Asrock B550 Pro4 Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200MHz Fast storage: Kingston 500gb A2000 m.2 nvme Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 1 TB Also storage: Western Digital Blue 4 TB 3.5" 5400RPM PSU: Corsair RMx 750 W 80+ Gold Fan: Some noctua fan. Case: A Corsair mATX case Is it a good idea to buy a second hand 2080 from someone that bought a new card? Some things I will not upgrade like the PSU because it doesn't impact performance or the sata SSD because I can use it as fast storage for games Do you think this is a good choice or should I change something
  6. I own a pc case only for mATX boards and I would like to upgrade my pc and the motherboard is maybe gonna be a ATX board. If i choose a mATX I still want to be able to have an ATX board in my case. Can I build a case out of cardboard or can I buy a cheap normal case. If I buy a normal case it doesn't need to be RGB friendly and have a glass window on the side.
  7. This is a common question but i don't really know if I should upgrade or wait. I think you can see my specs under or over the post. Why I don't have upgraded is because i have DDR3 and an intel socket and AMD has taken the cpu lead so i need a new motherboard but no new motherboards support DDR3 so i have to buy new ram. All of theese things can get expensive and I have not had the budget to upgrade. Now I have the budget but I'm afraid that DDR4 and AM4 is going to be outdated and I am going to regularly upgrade but if my upgrade is outdated then the same thing is going to happen. So should I wait for DDR5 and AM5 or upgrade now?
  8. I am gonna build my own NAS of an old PC. My Cousin moved to London and left his coputer here in Sweden at my grandpas house and i can get his computer. The computer is from around 2013 I think and has outdated hardware. Specs: P8Z77-V PRO Intel® Core™ i5-3470 Corsair AX850 850W 8gb ram The concerns is that the motherboard only have 4 Sata3 and the rest 4 is Sata2, the processor only have 4 cores and 4 threads and the ram is not enough I plan on hooking up four 4TB seagate drives in raid. Do you think this is enough for just a simple home server?
