  1. That was my thoughts. My usual rule when buying any tech is always buy the newest version you can afford and with B450 being 2 years old and this being an area i've not been in for a while it's great to get a sense check, thanks ?
  2. I'm building my first dedicated gaming PC (and my first PC in over 10yrs). Looking at doing a Ryzen build with a 3600 (or 3700X if i can find one on sale at build time) and wondering if the X570 chipset boards are worth the extra investment in 2020? My current build list is using a B450 (MSI B450 Tomahawk Max) which retails in the UK for around £90-100, an X570 board would be £50-60 more which i could make the budget stretch too if i can justify it. To me it looks like the main benefit would be PCIe 4.0 which while I won't be using now could make future upgrades easier, not worth it on that alone for me. I'm going to be partnering it with a RTX 2070 Super and a 1440p 144Hz monitor and would like to give myself an upgrade path for a few years Here's my build list
