Because the Wifi extender gives off more Downloads and uploads speeds, believe it or not, than what the wifi hotspot gives out which is where the main wifi comes from.

Exactly. I was actually wondering on calling At&t and hear out what could they say to me. Also I have been checking on the VPN to a VPSA for that but I just haven't found anything that could actually give me the information or sum up everything I would need to know to do it or for it.

Actually I'm not really aiming for that 5G, I know it's new and the hot stuff right now but since it's so new I know it's not everywhere so but I'm not really interested in it. I just wanted to try and open my nat type. The device is literally like 5ft away from the xbox and the extender. ? Sorry for being such an ignorant on this, but how would I know I have a 4G gateway? I do have 4GLTE tho on the hotspot device. Mmm okay, okay, I'm actually looking into the VPS as a VPN and get morr info about it before I do something. And since I can't do anything, what would you recommend then, because there are also better hotspot devices that can output 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz at same time. I can maybe then get a bettee hotspot device on Amazon.

Could I at least change the strict nat? I mean the double nat just says I have too many devices connected to it. Cause I can still try to port forward or do a dmz. My doubt is in if I have to change the adress from the device, to the extender, to the xbox and idk if I'm doing it right. Also, there's not a lot of congestion in my area, I actually live near the tower too and I get a lot of data, to be honest there's literally no limit like the device right now is showing that we have 692.10GB of data used and it works great always, at end of the month is always like that so and I still get up to 20-30mbps. Also why the sudden jumps to 120mbps or 130mbps for like 10 seconds then? It has happend quite a few times too. And in my situation it's actually the other way around, I might test it later but at the start I was using the main device as the connection and it was just really bad, like 10mbps or 7mbps, with the extender I get well 20mbps or 30mbps constantly. But I'd be willing to test it again with the device to see if there is any difference or if it has changed if not, I'm staying with the extender, the device is close to me too and I'm wired to the extender.

Hello everyone, I'm kinda of a newbie here on the forums but I know who Linus is and I've watched a lot of videos so I kind of know some information when I need some tech tips even if I'm not a professional. I'm going to divide the topic on on a bit of the situation where I'm at and all so you can understand what's wrong or how did I got a strict nat type and a double nat type, at the end I will add all of the devices I use just in case someone needs to do a bit of reasearch on the devices, also I'm actually a console gamer just in case. A little background on the situation and my devices and my internet: So basically I don't have a normal ISP like anyone would think, my internet actually comes from a hotspot device which has a prepaid card from at&t and crazy as you may think why would I use a phone carrier as my ISP instead of a known ISP like Liberty or another common one you guys may use. Well the issue is after Hurricane María hit on my country, where I live we are supposed to get 10mbpsdown and 5 mbpsup and it never actually reached how it was supposed in my place we always got like 3mbps and we were with Liberty for years and they never came to our place to check the cables out or anything they treated us super unfair and rudely even if we paid 50$-60$ a month and now with the hotspot I just pay 30$ a month and I get triple the speeds I used to get from the ISP. But, I noticed now that I don't get the best out of my internet since I have a strict nat type and a double nat and I noticed this because when I'm downloading a game it sometimes jumps up to 120mbps or 150mbps for like 10 seconds and I constantly am receiving now is 20mbps or 30mbps so if I could just open up some ports maybe I could get more speeds and and just have an open nat type for me would be the best to be honest because it screws up when I'm playing with my friends and online. Also, I found information that the double nat type is because I have too many devices connected to it but I only have 2 main devices connectedness to the hotspot routers, one is a range extender from TP-Link that has a gigbit Ethernet port and the other is a really bad extender that I can't disconnect because it's for my parents. Below are the devices Something important that I should add is that the range extender I am using that has an Ethernet port is the one that is connected to my xbox, so when I try to change something I guess I should change something first on the extender then on my xbox, I mean thats what I think I should do I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or typing something wrong or anything. The devices: ZTE Velocity - this is the hotspot device, it's 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz capable but not simultaneously and I know there are better hotspots that have simultaneous Ghz I just don't have the money right now and I can't switch it to 5Ghz because the other device I have connected to it, the one for my parents, is only 2.4Ghz capable. The hotspot has tons of options I can manipulate like DMZ, Port Forwarding, UPnP, etc. So there's quite a few options on it and I have tried some of those but I'm not really sure if I am doing it right changing my Adress on the Xbox and on the internet or I don't know what else I am doing wrong. (I'm also using a Cat8 cable to connect it to my xbox) https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/range-extender/re650/ TRINITYXTN - Now this is the other wifi extender I have been mentioning is only 2.4Ghz capable from what I have found and this is the one connected for my parents, it's a WiFi extender and a HDTV Antenna which we don't use, this is basically the main device we use for WiFi for anyone that comes home also, but it has no importance if I have to switch something from it to gain better internet just the fact of the double nat I have appearing on my xbox. And that's basically it, I don't know if I need to give some other information someone might need to help me out but if this really could reach anyone out here that knows more about this than me and would give a brother a hand it will be much appreciated really I was looking on how to contact Linus myself but I didn't find where to so I ended up here on the forums so I think this is a better way since someone could learn a thing or to from this post and a lot more people could get involved!
