  1. As you can see in this review, the samsung one is actually not that bad in regards to ghosting for a VA panel https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/jg50 Not acceptable for professional players, but for me, not that bad. I also use my monitors as a primary source for watching movies, tv shows and youtube.
  2. Thank you for your input, I have already read everything there is to read, and watched all of the videos, I am just very indecisive as a person. As you can see, the samaung one is actually not bad at all for a VA panel https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/jg50 I have used TN and IPS panels, but never VA, that's why I wanted to ask for help online.
  3. Why is the TV resolution important for making decisions about a PC monitor, they are used for different things?
  4. Hi guys, first time posting here! Glad to finally join you, and as most people, my first post will be a question. I am coming from a 1440p 60hz monitor (Dell U2515H, sold it already) which is not ideal for gaming, and would like to get something better. The thing is, I don't think I would fully utilize a 1440p 144hz monitor (my choice currently Samsung c27jg50 4ms, same panel as Viotek GN27DB or the AOC CQ27G1), I am not sure if my GPU is good enough (gtx 980ti, i7 4790K 4.6ghz and 16gb ram). My other choice for around the same price is Alienware AW2418HF which is 1080p BUT 240hz 1ms and apparently has very nice colors (freesync only, but I don't really care). I don't have the budget for a 144hz+ IPS, so my choices are TN or VA. I mainly play Apex (PUBG and CS:GO sometimes) from multiplayer games, single player RPGs (Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Borderlands etc). I also use my monitors as a primary source for watching movies, tv shows and youtube. I do not have amazon or bestbuy or newegg available, so my choices are limited in terms of brands. Any advice?
