(Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-04-06 20:58 EDT-0400) I am wondering if I should look into using more fans, seeing as the Enermax case I am planning on using can support up to 3 fans. Also, are there any other changes, or any other possible issues with compatibility I should be worried about? Thanks!
  2. PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3mBMH Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3mBMH/by_merchant/ Benchmarks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3mBMH/benchmarks/ CPU: AMD FX-8150 3.6GHz 8-Core Processor ($159.98 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($69.99 @ Micro Center) Memory: Kingston Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($67.99 @ Micro Center) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($75.79 @ Amazon) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($229.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Enermax ECA3290A-G ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($44.99 @ NCIX US) Optical Drive: LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: Asus VS238H-P 23.0" Monitor ($119.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: Asus VS238H-P 23.0" Monitor ($119.99 @ Newegg) Keyboard: AZIO L70 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($29.99 @ Newegg) Total: $1078.65 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-04-05 20:28 EDT-0400) I know I went back on my word and went over budget, but I may not get the 2nd monitor right away (which would bring it down to around $950). Any further suggestions?
  3. I was actually planning on running two monitors at some point in time. Which should I use then?
  4. Thanks for all the suggestions! I guess my biggest question after seeing them is why is the GeForce 750 or 760 so much better than the 640 I already had? I'm not sure if I want to double the price on the GPU when it (the 640) has 4GB when the 760 has 2GB. Is it an issue with lifespan/reliability? Or is the performance actually better?
  5. I'm looking to build a solid gaming PC for around $800 to $900. Here are the parts I have picked so far: CPU Intel Core i5-2380P 3.1GHz Quad-Core Processor $170.00 $7.80 $177.80 CPU Cooler Thermalright Macho Rev.A. 73.6 CFM CPU Cooler $49.90 $49.90 Motherboard Intel DB75EN Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard $88.99 $3.99 $92.98 Memory Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory $77.74 $77.74 Storage Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $57.99 $57.99 Video Card EVGA GeForce GT 640 4GB Video Card $104.99 $3.99 $108.98 Case Raidmax Seiran (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case $59.99 $9.99 $69.98 Power Supply Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply $44.99 $44.99 Optical Drive Samsung SH-222BB/RSBS DVD/CD Writer $30.00 $5.83 $35.83 Monitor Asus VS238H-P 23.0" Monitor $159.99 -$40.00 FREE $119.99 Keyboard AZIO L70 Wired Gaming Keyboard $29.99 $29.99 This set up here costs around 870 dollars. I plan on doing some high end gaming with this computer, as well as some 3-D modelling down the road. I hope to keep the first build for a few years (at least 2 or 3) and hope to have room for upgrades in the future. Any advice or possible changes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
