  1. My PC is acting strange. I just built it a few months ago as a work PC and it should be very fast, but I'm getting intermittent issues where it will run very slowly after being on for a while. Programs will take far too long to open, my volume keys turn the volume up and down very "stuttery" (I don't know how else to describe it), the Start menu will take forever to open, etc. This only happens sometimes, while other times it seems to run just fine. Also, sometimes it takes a long time to startup and a very, very long time to restart or shutdown. I've run memtest and the Windows memory diag tool and found no errors. I've updated all my drivers through Device Manager. I'm using Ryzen Master to OC, using the Auto Overclocking preset under Creator Mode. I've included all the system specs below. If you have any ideas on what the issue might be, something I haven't checked yet, or some way to help diagnose the problem, I'd really appreciate the help. I'm a fairly new amateur to this whole PC building and problem diagnosis thing so please forgive my ignorance if I ask stupid questions. Thanks! 3. Been having a strange occurrence for the past few weeks and can't figure it out. After I login in to Windows 10 I get a black screen with my mouse cursor. I can move the cursor, I can CTRL+ALT+DEL and select task manager, but it doesn't appear and the screen stays black. If I hit the Windows key, I can see my task bar and the Windows Start menu, but above that it's still a black screen. This lasts for about 5 minutes and then suddenly everything shows up and my computer will function just fine until I turn it off. When I turn it back on, same process repeats. I've tried installing the newest graphics drivers to no avail. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! 4. I'm running a dual-boot system with two different installs of Windows 10 on two different M.2 drives in one system. One install is for personal use, the other for work use. Last night I installed an Nvidia driver update on my personal drive and this morning I go to boot into my work drive and get the "Page Fault in Nonpaged Area" BSOD. Now the work drive won't boot all the way into Windows and keeps taking me back to the Windows Automatic Recovery screen but none of the options there will allow me to get Windows running on the work drive. My personal drive appears to be working just fine. The question is, could installing the Nvidia driver update on my personal drive but not the work drive be the cause of this failure and if so how can I fix the problem?
  5. excuse my ignorance but i'm pretty new to this and i appreciate everyone's help. sounds like i can hook up both my monitors via hdmi to one pc and via dp to the other and switch between them through the settings on the monitors themselves. thanks @Mephi00! i'll switch the mouse and keyboard via something like this, i think: https://www.amazon.com/Switcher-Computers-Sharing-Keyboard-Selector/dp/B07TR2TVB8/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=keyboard+and+mouse+switch&qid=1580974395&s=electronics&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExVzNSM1JUTUtDVkNIJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjcwMTA2M1RaUTE0WDFIV0RONCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDk3MTAyN1ZCWlNDQTJMNlExJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
  6. will those allow me to switch what my monitors are displaying between the machines?
  7. I've got a personal PC I use for gaming, etc. and I just finished building a work PC provided by my employer. Both machines will be on my desk in my office and I'm looking for a way I can switch my peripherals (mouse, keyboard, and both monitors) between the two machines without having to switch a bunch of cables between the two machines twice a day. I'm aware of KVM switches but they are pricey and seem like they would make a nightmare of cables on my desk. I'm also aware of Remote Desktop with Windows 10, but I'm not sure exactly how it works and I'm worried about losing performance on the machine I would be remoting in to. Just looking for advice from anyone who has had the same issue and solved it successfully. Thanks!
