  1. Hey there! Thanks for your build ideas. I see you have a good idea of what I want to go for in my designs. I took your white build and modified it a little bit. I swapped out the RGB memory you chose for some non-RGB since I don't want any RGB inside the case (I was going to disable the fan colors in my original white build). I also changed the SSD to a less expensive one that also happens to match my design better. I also decided that $200 is way too much for a mouse so I went to a mouse that doesn't have a rating, but should still be good. I also got a cheaper keyboard too. I see you put a Ryzen 5 3600 processor instead of the Ryzen 7 2700X. Is there any particular reason? Is it better in terms of performance? I took a look at your black build and it came with some warnings about possibly-incompatible parts. I think my black build is still more what I am going for, but I will add a few fans that I forgot.
  2. Thanks for the tips. If i sacrificed the license, what OS would I put on my machine? I would have to get windows from somewhere and I would prefer to not get it from any sketchy meh website. I am fully aware that it will cost more, perhaps much more, but I am totally okay with that and willing to spend the extra.
  3. Thanks for the tips. I saw that the overall price of the black build was less than I thought and so I had some extra that I would be willing to spend. The reason I went with the 2060 super on the white build is because it is a white graphics card which goes very nicely with the white build color scheme. The next highest white graphics card is an additional $350 which would be a bit more than I would want to spend. Another reason is I really don't know the difference between the two cards in terms of performance, and thought that they might be fairly even in specs. As for the the license, I would need the software to run on the PC as I don't have another copy lying around. I don't want to get any sketchy parts/softwares by going to meh websites. I know that buying the software from a more name-brand place is going to accrue a larger price and I am totally okay with paying it.
  4. Good morning, afternoon, evening everyone! I have binging LTT, TechLinked, and Techquickie episodes for some time now and I want to build my own system after seeing Linus do it many many many times and it seems to be very interesting and fun to build it myself rather than buying a pre-built system. The hard work will also bring about a more personal sense of accomplishment. I have made a few concepts on PCPartPicker and would like to get some advice from individuals who are certainly more experienced than I. I made both concepts with a central focus of getting well-rated components from well-known brands. Here are some links to my White-Build and my Black-Build using some of the components from LTT episodes as I was able to get a better idea of what everything would end up looking like. Please feel free to give any advice, criticism, tips for picking parts, and any other recommendations. While you're here, which one of the builds do you think is better? Thanks everyone! HUGAPUG84
