    Hey, MAKerr,
I actually started with Portal 2 because I was late to the dance. I played through that on my PS3 and then found "The Orange Box" used for XBox so I played Portal on my 360. Those games were brilliant but I agree, 1 was better than 2. However, I also really enjoyed the 2 player campaign. I love co-op games.
I should say, I don't totally hate shooters. I played a lot of Doom, Quake, Heretic, Hexen, Unreal Tournament, etc. However those were on closed servers so you didn't get spawn shooters and aimbots. Playing capture the flag on my buddy's UT server was some of the most fun I've ever had gaming.
As far as the laptop, mine is still cruising along with no issues though I may look into putting a 1Tb NVMe SSD into it. I never thought I'd use the "360" tablet mode much but I ended up folding it back on my desk like a 2nd monitor and sliding it under a stand I made for my main monitor. It frees up a lot of desk space and gives me more screen real estate.

I love Portal! The first one was the best, but the second one was great too! Also I feel your pain regarding your laptop. I’ve a HP Beats edition. DDR3, integrates graphics, and on its last leg.

First post. Been watching LTT for a while.

I don't consider myself a gamer. I'm more of a bullet trap in shooters which is just frustrating. I like exploration games and puzzles. Think Skyrim, Fallout, and Portal 1/2. I'm strictly console at this point because my current laptop (HP Spectre x360 core i7) suits my needs for a PC. It's far from a gaming rig but it's extremely portable and fast enough for my purposes.

Anyway, it's good to be here. Maybe I'll get back into building eventually which I did a lot of MANY years ago (AMD Athlon and AGP video slots). I retired my last homebuilt box and moved to an ultrabook when video got to the point that AGP couldn't handle it (1080p). Right now I'm spending my time looking for work and fiddling with arduinos.

    Cheers all!
