  1. It's winter here and even thought I do have a bit of heating I'm guessing that it's not going to affect the PC next to the cool window. Fans are configured with original settings and they do get more active with heat, the front 140mm fans and the the CPU fan are PMW, back and top on medium setting via a small controller board with a switch. That's a pretty good idea ! I'll run that test tomorrow since tonight I have to study and if I launch a game I know what's going to happen. I don't really fathom what the first phrase means but I'm guessing that means my 80+°C with COD on low/mid settings is not normal. Are the 58°C with games that require alot of CPU / GPU ? But I've thought about the paste and pressure and really this being my first build I can't really give you a lot of info. I'd say this thought : - I probably put a little bit more paste than a little bit less (aka the overwatered plant problem) - paste was Startech SILVGREASE1, around 0,8 g - it doesn't wiggle at all but it's not hardcore tight either I can move it very slightly up and down I know this doesn't help a lot but this is inexperience speaking. : / All OC features are OFF since I got my material. For voltage do you mean fan voltage ? I'm in France so the outlets are 220v but something tells me that's not what you're after. Thanks you all for your help and all the great leads, I really can't let my hard drives die on me even if I'm obviously going to take extra precautions this time. Also I'm thinking about something else, I'm use some controller boards to control all these fans: - I use this https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32965108989.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27426c37ZK8MXa to control back and top 120mm fans through voltage - I use this https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32861522906.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27426c37ZK8MXa to control both front fans + CPU fan with PWM (also just as I checked when at idle the front suckers are very weak) Tomorrow I will come back with more data when submitting it to heavy load.   2. Hello everyone ! I come to seek advice since this was my first PC build and I've always loved the channel so I could not think of a better community to ask my question. Here is the problem: The love of my life is a compact gaming PC, a H200 from NZXT with a i5 9600k and a GTX 2060. Recently my SSD M2 nvme died (RIP) and I lost all my data. This happened while playing the new COD and the worst part is I was winning a gun game after a streak of defeats :' (. I noticed high peak of heat during +2h gaming sessions (80-90°C for CPU) and I'm wondering if the airflow might be the problem and the heat could have killed my SSD. I have : - 2 x 140 mm Be Quiet fans for intake in the front - Be quiet Dark Rock pro 4 for CPU - 2 x 120 mm NZXT fans for extraction in back and top The thing is having to do a clean install and loosing all those files has been a pretty big downer since I'm a developer so I'm considering modifying this before any new gaming session. The filter mesh for the intake fans was pretty dusty so I got those cleaned up but the CPU cooling and extractions fans are really close to each other and the NZXT fans are not that good. Also the SSD migh have been partially faulty since it was a cheap Kingspec from China (didn't really know what was good back then). I was thinking about : - Corsair Watercooling H80i v2 - 2x 120mm Be Quiet Shadow Wing (to replace NZXT fans) - SSD M2 Heat Sink from Aliexpress (https://bit.ly/2tfODgc) with thermal pads on both sides This would better the airflow given the massive size of the Dark Rock pro but at the same time I don't want to spent 140 € if it won't have a real impact on the high heat peaks. Do you guys think the dust + bad extraction could be responsible ? Should I change for a smaller CPU cooling to have better airflow ? Sorry for pics quality.
