  1. Ive never seen anything like this and it only started happening not to long ago. i have a ASUS ROG Swift PG27VQ 27” 1440p. im using display port, when i switch to the HDMI port it stops. which made me think that my DP port is screwed up. the cable is fine. id screenshot it but the snipping tool shows everything is fine when i drag the photo to my other monitor. i have a zotac 2080 super, i've tried the other DP ports on the GPU. then there's this line that stretches across the top of the monitor and from the line to the top of the display nothing happens, from that line downwards i can see tiny white black bars going from side to side of the screen, its really hard to see but if i look close i can tell they're there.i should mention the line is apparent when using HDMI as well. its only a year old and i haven't dropped my monitor. its not really noticeable when paying games but black text on light backrounds its super noticeable. the text is blotchy and bold in some areas. i changed my font which made it more bearable. i cant find any solutions online so this is my last hope haha.
  2. yes sir, xbox, old wireless adapter, phones ect all work fine
  3. i bought myself the wonderful AC56 from asus. where in my head i was getting an upgrade i was really just setting myself up for failure. this thing only wants to work when it decides so, ive done every single hot fix everyone reccomends and so far one time one thing works and another time something else works. and the windows troubleshooter says the default gateway is not available. now the internet works fine on other devices. the wifi is a 802.11n 5ghz. ive done power management settings and manual settings and going into the WINS tab and uninstalling and reinstalling, trying the windows 8.1 drivers instead of the windows 10 drivers. now when it works, its a slice of life i tell ya. and it seems to have no problems with my phone hotspot. so my dilemma now is i cant actually access the router/modem because im in a ski resort chalet hotel thing. ive also changed pcie slots and same thing, it connects says i have internet but nothing works, then it says i have no internet. and when its usually on the verge of working it will say "cant connect to this network" im at a loss cause my best guess is that the internet here at the resort doesn't like this adapter. or vice versa. im using the absolute latest version of windows 10 (64bit). to my knowledge ive tried everything under the sun. im at my wits end.
