  1. Yes, these are parts I have unused at the moment leftover from a recent upgrade. Thanks for the input. I will keep the 3070ti for a secondary gaming pc in the future.
  2. Building a windows based HTPC primarily for Plex with a Ryzen 3700x, 16GB 3200 DDR4 Ram, and a 750 watt evga gold PSU. For the GPU I have a gtx 1070 or a RTX 3070 ti. My inclination is to use the 1070 in this and sell or make a secondary gaming PC with the 3070 ti. Is there any real advantage to putting the 3070ti in the HTPC?
  3. I just purchased a PNY RTX4090. I am installing it into a Ryzen 7950x system with 32Gb RAM. My power supply is a Corsair RM850x. Unfortunately it only has two pcie 8 pin cables, each with two plugs for the GPU. Would daisy chaining the two cables four 8 pin connectors to the 4090 and power limiting the GPU to 75% be safe to do? I have ordered a cable mod but it will take some time to arrive.

    Advice

I have a new Ryzen 7950 x build with a Corsair RM850x PSU. The last thing to upgrade is my RTX 2070. I do hobby level photo and video editing and play mostly strategy, RPG and MMO games. I am looking for opinions between a 7900 xtx or a RTX 4080 upgrade. Thoughts?
  5. Budget (including currency): N/A Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Home Theater Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am putting together a HTPC using old parts. The PC will be a 3700x and a GTX 1070. I have an EVGA 600w Bronze PSU. Is 600w enough for this?
  6. Budget (including currency): $1,500 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 4k strategy, RPG gaming, light photo and video editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current build, Ryzen 5800x, RX 6900XT, 32 GB DDR4 3600 memory, Corsair RM850x PSU Would it be best to upgrade the GPU to a 4090 or perhaps AMDs 7900XTX first or upgrade to a Ryzen 7950x, Asus x670e ROG Strix motherboard for $1,050 with 32 GB DDR5 6000 RAM free from microcenter right now? Which path would you choose first?
  7. I have aquired a FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier, I just don't have anything to plug into it. My monitor is a MSI Optix MAG341cq ultrawide 1440p 100hz that I have overclocked to 120hz.
  8. I am looking for advice for my next upgrade. My current system is : Ryzen 3700x 16 gb 3600 RAM RTX 2070 Corsair RM750x PSU Arctis Pro wireless headset I am wondering what to upgrade next. I have saved enough (I hope) for the upcoming RTX 3080 or wait to see AMDs offering but I am also considering investing in true audiophile headphones the HiFiMAN Ananda. Both cost about the same. Any thoughts?
  9. I currently have two sticks of DDR4 3200 cl16 ram and a ryzen 3700x. I game at 1440p ultrawide 100hz would it be better to upgrade the RAM to 3600 and get a RTX 2070super or keep the current ram and get a RTX 2080 super?
  10. I was wondering if 3600 cl18 ram would make much of an improvement?

  12. I recently upgraded my monitor to a 1440p ultrawide 120hz. My current gpu is an RTX 2070 with a R7 3700x. Is a 2080s worth upgrading to for AAA games? I generally get 80 - 90 FPS with the 2070 with high settings.
  13. I didn't think of that, but I can use a separate mic with the PC. Mainly I was hoping only for audio with Windows.
