  1. Thanks...call me a noob but I actually have zero knowledge about this brand. I asked because I just saw that these HOF and Asus cards were being sold at the same price in my country but the Asus ones are currently out of stock, so....
  2. Since this particular Asus card here is an OC edition I'm guessing it's also using binned chips....is there anything else that might give one of these any kind of advantage? Could be better features or brand reliability...

  4. Yes it will be..I was just thinking about adding one 140 mm at the top ( as marked in the pic) as an additional exhaust.
  5. So I've decided to go with the fan setup as marked in the pic (not my pic btw). I think the exhaust at the top won't cause any problem for CPU but if I'm wrong then please feel free to correct me. Also, what if I remove front half of the PSU shroud? Would it help to lower the GPU temp by 1°C - 2°C?
  6. Since this will be mostly used for extensive rendering, this system will run for 16 hrs almost every day. I like to play AAA titles but since I don't get much time for gaming, I'm kinda picky. probably won't have more than 2 games installed at the same time...but yes, what you said is true...thanks for that advice...I'll probably get a larger 2.5" ssd instead of the nvme one.

With the components I'm planning to get, this rig will demand around 600 W at full load, so I'm not really comfortable with a 650 W PSU...and as for the platinum certification...I'll be using this for the next 5 yrs or so....just want to make sure the device provides optimum efficiency. I haven't bought anything yet....getting everything next month. I'm gonna get a 500 GB 2.5" SSD now and a 2 TB HDD instead of the 1 TB one in March. Yeah, gonna keep my work stuff in my HDD while the games, OS and other programs in my SSDs

Are the stock 200 mm fans in the front, and the single 120 mm rear exaust fan good enough for overall optimum cooling? If not then please recommend an ideal case fan setup for better airflow. P.S. I can't go for aio because we don't have good warranty support for those in my country.

So I'm wondering if it would be a wise decision to purchase the https://www.asus.com/Monitors/TUF-Gaming-VG27AQ/ over the https://www.viewsonic.com/ap/products/lcd/XG2405.php considering the Asus costs almost double. Now, I'll be mostly playing single player games like RDR 2, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, R6S (the only multiplayer I play) etc. Also, I saw on reddit that dead pixel issues are pretty common among Asus monitors. I've watched several youtube videos on 1080p vs 1440p gaming but I couldn't notice much of a difference...most probably because I watched those on my 1080p 60hz monitor ?

Also, just out of curiosity....if I get a 1000W PSU or maybe even a 1200W one, what's the downside other than the extra electricity bill? I mean does PSU performance drop if the difference between required wattage and supplied wattage is significantly high?

  17. Yes, sorry for not putting my question correctly before. As you said....it's the CPU that does the bottleneck....yes and what I tried to say is that a 60hz FHD display in a system with 2080 Ti will put significantly high amount of load on the CPU causing it to bottleneck and I'm not sure if only the higher refresh rate would solve the problem or if I would have to go for a 2K display as well...

What I'm trying to say is that I've heard 1080p monitors can bottleneck performance when using a 2080 Ti card because it puts more loads on the CPU. So, I was just wondering if the high refresh rate would solve the problem or would I've to go for higher resolution as well?
