  1. So in dark scenes this ASUS performes good also. Quite a catch! Now I'm waiting for night maps in PUBG, ha-ha
  2. Good to know. What do you play may I ask?
  3. Mag2, thank you for the effort. That was very helpful indeed! I will check carefully with a programm when buying. "spec of dust" you mean ON the monitor and not UNDER the screen? yes, I've read that that can be the case (not on this particular model tho)
  4. Thank you for your input. I'll come back here after reviewing the monitors in person.
  5. Hey Sandeagle. I was surprised to see your post because I have exactly the same list. Been looking day and night for about a week. My needs are similar to yours - gaming (as fast as possible, but with IPS because COLORS PLEASE!), video/photo editing + working with text. I discarded Acer right away too - the reviews were saying about "settings are not saving" and some more bad stuff. AOC - was my first choice (YouTube reviews), but I was terrified by reading comments and reviews about horrible light bleed and dead pixels were noticed in some reviews (a bit too much, if you ask me). I asked about the problem on the official AOC web-site and they answered that a new batch will be available this weekend (for them to test for "bugs" such as bleeding, etc). So I will contact them on Sunday or Monday again. Asus VG259Q - was looking quite good (no bleed, FAST IPS panel) and I was excited and ready to buy it until I've read that stuff about fuzziness and blurry image because of some "filter" applied by ASUS on default... And I work with text a lot. I don't have them in my local shop (small town, Russia), but I'm going to order AOC and ASUS to my local shop for "in real life testing" tomorrow and they should be here 26th-28th. Until then let's discuss. Do you have any additional thoughts? P.S there's one short review on YouTube - https://youtu.be/vsdSEttE83w - I'm going to ask the guy directly on discord right now. And there's a review on Russian - https://youtu.be/oHauub6y6SQ But he is quite casual. Good visual representation tho. EDIT: talked with a guy from the first review (just copy-pasted that you said about ASUS and that's what he's saying: "To be honest it's not a problem I've had with mine. I'm wondering if it's because people aren't used to the slightly larger size with 1080p which would reduce pixel density a bit from a standard 23.8 or 24 inch monitor. But I've not had any blurry text issues. For me the monitor has been absolutely perfect".
