  1. Thanks for the reply, I've actually got it to post with video output and I don't know how I missed it - the pcie slot isn't working. I'm getting video from the second pcie slot. The manual says they are both pcie x16 slots - would there be any performance drop off from just using the second slot?
  2. Hi, I've just built a new pc for my friend and I'm not getting any video. Specs are: I5 11400f Asus B560m-A Prime 16gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200mhz Gtx 970 Corsair TX550M So far I have: Cleared CMOS, both removing battery and not Tried the 970 in my system, it gave video output Tried my 5700xt in this system, no video output Re seated CPU Re Seated RAMP Disconnected and reconnected PCIe power cable from PSU (my and cpu 8 pin aren't modular) Disconnected and reconnected my and cpu power cables from motherboard I've no idea what to try next. Can anyone help me please? I've attached photos of the LEDS on the motherboard and the build itself Thanks in advance
  3. Success! The culprit was the vertical bracket in the second pic, and also my stupidity.
  4. I couldn't push it down enough to get it in the pcie lane. It turns out there was a vertical GPU mount blocking it which I had to remove, and I'm an idiot and didn't see that it's removable
  5. posted in error - couldn't find how to delete
  6. That's what I hope would happen but if it didn't work i'd be so annoyed That seems teh best thing to do. I'm actually getting new mobo and cpu as well so I might just do a fresh windows install
  7. Sorry if this is the wrong section, I couldn't see anywhere else to put it. So tomorrow i'm doing essentially a new build (new MB, CPU, GPU but keeping psu/storage). My OS is installed on a 256gb Samsung 970 evo ssd. Am I better just using my existing installation of windows or doing a fresh install with the new hardware? My Windows key is linked to my Microsoft account so validating the install shouldn't be an issue. Thanks!
  8. Hi, I have bought an AMD GPU which will be arriving Monday. My question is, do I need to uninstall Nvidia drivers before I put the AMD GPU in or will it boot with the drivers installed? I wasn't sure if uninstalling drivers with the Nvidia card plugged in would cause issues
  9. Will the B450 boards support my SLI configuration?
  10. Ok I'll go with stock for the moment. Thanks for all the help!
  11. Sorry, I misread the chart, I was looking at pro-vdh. I'll quote in future, i didn't know you wouldn't get a notification if I didn't quote. Also, will I need a new CPU cooler? I assume a cooler bought 6 years ago won't be AM4 compatible. I was think a 212 black edition
