  1. So it appears that in the moment of freezing CPU usage drops for some reason. I heard that might be due to PSU but idk if there is a way to test it. If anyone know how to test PSU power outage please lmk.
  2. Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H-WB PSU: Chieftec BPS-950C GPU: Asus GTX 1070 Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Monitor: Samsung CFG73 running at 144hz Edit: Win 10 Pro if that means anything.
  3. So the issue seems to be a pretty recent one. I haven't played a lot of resourse heavy games lately but in those that I have (GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2) I am getting a very strange thing happening. After about 1.5 to 4 hours of playing I'm starting to get micro freezes/stuttering and sometimes the game's just freezing for a good second or two. Monitoring my CPU frequencies I've noticed that after some time one or two cores start dropping their frequency to the minimum (1.6 GHz while normally it runs at 3.6 to 3.7). Usually it works like this when no games are running but for some reason also starts happening after some hours of gameplay. There are no overheating issues so it's hard for me to understand the reason that might cause it. CPU is my old trusty i7-2700k. Might just be the fact that it's old. But I hope there's more to it then that. I haven't overclocked it if it matters even tho I had plans for it before this started happening. Thanks for the possible help. Will provide any other info that might matter.
