  1. Well, within hours of receiving the new PSU it did it again, but this time it was final. The PSU would not power on again. It "tried" to start but immediately shut down. After I removed it from the case I did a paperclip test for the sake of it and I got a fan spin. Anyways, new PSU is in, running just fine for now. Fingers crossed the PSU itself was failing and a different component was not causing this. I know it's almost certainly the PSU but I had a mobo fry from a pair of headphones shorting, so I'm always super sceptical.
  2. Oh yeah I should've mentioned that most of the windows 10 tricks online I've already tried, except a fresh install. But this one shows as kernel power critical on the Event Viewer which makes me think it's hardware related. Will try Memtest tonight. As for the build, I'd honestly rather pay a bit extra and have some "design" space and peace of mind, rather than not. Eyeing an HX 750i for now, will look around for deals etc.
  3. I suppose there's some urgency in this too, right? Cause it can fail completely and take other parts with it. I've tried to keep it as clean as possible through the years, but without opening it, which is a no no for warranty, it's not so easy. There are some hard to reach places in there. That plus the age, I'm pretty sure it'll be hard to get them to honor the warranty this month. Guess I'm off to get a new one then.
  4. Ryzen 7 3700x X570 A-pro GeForce GTX 1080 WINDFORCE OC 8G Corsair AX860 PSU Title. I have made triple sure there's no overheating whatsoever on any possible component. It's not a BSOD, it's a complete shut down. PC won't restart unless I unplug for a bit and then plug again. Happens seemingly at random, not even at load (3/4 times it was just chrome open with a youtube vid playing, once while light gaming). Furthermore, it doesn't happen often, just 4 times this past week. Cinebench stressing is fine, for as long as I could. As is Unigine Superposition looping at crazy settings. I haven't ran Memtest, could it be ram? The mobo/CPU/RAM is new, the rest are from an older system. I suppose it's the PSU (it's old, but a very good one), but how can I be sure without having a second one to test? I don't want to spend 200$ on a new one and find out it's not that. What else could it be? This is so frustrating.
