The windows reinstallation didn't work and I can't change the resolution from the monitor. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Oh okay, I'm reinstalling windows now just in case it would help. I'll try changing the display settings in the monitor after that, thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the response! Yes, the monitor works in safe mode, however, I can only detect one monitor in safe mode. I assumed that it didn't use the new drivers in safe mode. Do you know how I can fix the problem if the drivers are indeed trying to run wrong resolution? The monitor isn't even detected in display settings when drivers are installed (except in safe mode).

Hi, I have two monitors, one VGA and one DVI. I just bought a new graphics card (RX 5700 XT) which only has HDMI and Displayport, so I bought a DVI to displayport cable for the DVI-monitor. My HDMI TV works just fine, but my monitor goes black after windows logo. If I uninstall my GPU drivers the monitor works quite well but there are green pixels jumping around on the screen, especially on certain areas such as the desktop shortcut icons. The monitor worked perfectly fine with a regular DVI cable on my previous GPU. I have googled like crazy since I got the gpu two days ago and found nothing. Do any of you have any idea what the problem could be? I'm thinking it's either something wrong with the cable, or the GPU, or the GPU drivers. Any advice?
