  1. Guys Look at the edit at the top of the post, there is a link to a reddit post with the fix
  2. [Edit] before you read the whole post we found a solution, here is the link to the reddit page Hello everyone, I opened this topic mostly to warn as many people as possible and also to push the problem out there and make it more visible. I have a xiaomi mi laser projector, after the latest update the hdmi inputs don't work. I extensively tested hdmi cables and sources, and no, that's not the issue. What happens is, I select the hdmi input I want to use, I get a black screen, In the top left corner there is a text that says "HDMI 1 1092x1080_50hz" (that's exactly what I expect from that input) then the text fades away and I am left with just the black screen. The projector picks some kind of hdmi input because when I disconnect the hdmi cable I get a screen with a stylized tv with an exlamation mark on it and a text that says "no signal", in the bottom center I get a notification bubble that says "The video is suddenly not avaible" (this might not be exactly what it says, I am traslating from italian) If you have this problem (or any suggestion) plese let me know and also contact your manufacterer (and maybe google? the best I could do was tweet at them, I'll what else I can do) I contacted xiaomi and they wheren't really helpful. I asked if there was a way to downgrade (and of course they said no). All they could tell me is that their "update deartment" knows about the issue and will push out another update to fix that, the operator I talked with (obviously) doesn't know when that would be. I suppose I was kind of bullshitted since I doubt xiaomi has much to do with an android tv update Also while I am here, to temporary fix this, I wonder if there is any device that can take an hdmi input and cast that, since the chromecast part of the projector seems to be working fine.
