  1. I can agree with that. I work full time as a data entry clerk as well as doing bits & pieces of IT related things for the company and study when I can in my spare time. Unfortunately all of the courses I've found for where I live (Perth, Australia) are full time (3 year) Uni courses or once a year 5 day courses, with how expensive it is over here, I can't afford to live without full time work & don't imagine I could get all of the information stuck in the noggin in 5 short days. Due to this (slow) content delivery system and lack of time, whilst I was studying for the A+ 901 & 902 exams, 1001 & 1002 came out. My online course provider cut off access to the 901 & 902 content and proceeded to tell me that I had to re-do everything so I can sit the exam for the new content. I love how quickly technology develops, however it's beyond difficult to stay up to date with it all. I might be in the wrong part of the world for a technology related job. Everything here requires you to have 5+ years experience with at least 3+ qualifications to even be considered, for a junior position.
  2. Bit of back story, I'm currently studying Comptia A+ 220-1001, with my exam booked in March. The main issue with the course that I'm having is... the lecturer manages to make some interesting topics just.. so incredibly boring. Finding it difficult to stay focused as my lecturer seems to despise his life and it's almost like he drew the short straw for teaching the class. Granted, with some things, you just can't make it interesting: (laser printer processes for example) but it's the same with everything the guy has taught. I feel as if the LTT crew taught a class for a certificate, I'd actually be interested in even the most boring subjects and would take in a lot more information, in a shorter amount of time. So here's my question, would YOU like to see & pay for a certification provided by LTT & Floatplane crew?
