I can agree with that. I work full time as a data entry clerk as well as doing bits & pieces of IT related things for the company and study when I can in my spare time.
Unfortunately all of the courses I've found for where I live (Perth, Australia) are full time (3 year) Uni courses or once a year 5 day courses, with how expensive it is over here, I can't afford to live without full time work & don't imagine I could get all of the information stuck in the noggin in 5 short days.
Due to this (slow) content delivery system and lack of time, whilst I was studying for the A+ 901 & 902 exams, 1001 & 1002 came out. My online course provider cut off access to the 901 & 902 content and proceeded to tell me that I had to re-do everything so I can sit the exam for the new content.
I love how quickly technology develops, however it's beyond difficult to stay up to date with it all.
I might be in the wrong part of the world for a technology related job. Everything here requires you to have 5+ years experience with at least 3+ qualifications to even be considered, for a junior position.
