what do you think about vpns ? is having an antiviurs + a vpn a good combo or just an antivirus is enough ?

tbh for games i just wait for promos and discounts on steam and i get them i find g2a a bad move since there is barely just 2$ to 5$ difference i will rather get it from steam and pay extra 5$ but the thing with microsoft products are so goddamn expensive and they are never on promos i wish they would make some budget options

i dont know much about security but thats scary even visiting youtube is not safe ? i think i will grab malwarebytes then since i'm familiar with it

thank you for the replies guys i had malwarebytes years ago and it was decent i also tried several antivurs but the thing is i noticed that with or without antivirus i dont see any difference because i do the pussy type of web surfing (i only download stuff from official sites and i dont visit any suspicious sites) so antivirus with me never detect anything so i was curious if i need a powerful antivurs or i don't need it in the first place considering how i work
