  1. That's the thing. I don't really need to overclock anything for my system to run fine, so I probably wont need the extra wattage.
  2. I'll definetely keep that in mind, thanks a lot !
  3. Alright yeah. Just did that, Estimated draw is 510W. That seems real low, I'm baffled by this... are they displaying misleading specs on their products sheets ? Why are they suggesting a 750w as minimal ?? Safety margin or what ? Thanks for the tip anyways.
  4. I'm not much into overclocking, maybe a little but never pushing to the limits. So I'm probably good. What I fear is that a whole system crash might damage other components.
  5. Oh wait, youre the first one to actually suggest going for a buffier psu. Interesting
  6. Alright well thanks everybody. I won't go for 1000w but will still upgrade for more wattage efficiency. Regarding the 2080ti, I guess I'm stubborn. Will go through with upgrade, don't have the luxury to wait.
  7. Yeah, most definitely upgrading for that at least.
  8. Yeah but it'll be a while until they are market ready, the first batch will probably have flaws as always and I kinda need the upgrade asap, can't wait for reworks and all but I do get your point
  9. Again, gaming isn't my primary focus. Fps is good as it is.
  10. Gaming isn't my primary focus, I'm working on heavy rendering and I could take advantage of the rtx architecture. And regarding the 750w, I'm mostly concerned that it could die on me any second now, especially with that heavy of a pc.
  11. Are you certain about that? About every site that I visit suggests a 750w psu as minimal requirements for a 2080ti.
  12. Hey there! I got carried away this Christmas and built a new pc, the only things I kept from the previous rig are PSU and GPU. Now I'm wondering if my psu is powerful enough. First let me go through my specs so you know what I'm dealing with. I'm running a i9 9900k (no overclocking yet), 64gb of ddr4 ram (4x16), a 1080ti, AIO cooling (kraken x72), 3HDDs, 2SSDS, and 2 m2 SSDs. With that, a whole bunch of rgb everywhere (don't know how drastic that can be on power draw) and 6 fans. All that, on an old Corsair Cs750 gold. Knowing that I'm about to swap the 1080ti for a 2080ti, is my old 750w psu enough, or should I go for a brand new 1000W to avoid any shortage. Thanks in advance, sorry for the long read.
