  1. Hi, This problem happened recently, my PC started to shutdown when i play games so i had to monitor all the components temps and everything looked find to me, i unplugged the PSU cables and reseating them again and that solved my problem with PC shutdown while playing games, the issue now the case RGB is not working, i have checked the RGB SATA power if it's connected or not, and it's connected, i tried different SATA connector and PC won't even start unless i unplugge the RGB SATA or put it back to its original connector, in the link below you can see in a video that RGB starts for a second and it turn off. i don't know where is the problem PSU or case! https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZQ-fyyQRfUBek6ymbdM1-70pxLtTpk71 My PC specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 ACE GPU: Geforce RTX 2080 Ti MSI Gaming X Trio Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory PSU: Corsair HX1000i (5 years old) Case: Phanteks Evolv X
  2. i was only reseating the PSU connectors, and i guess everything is plugged correctly. at this moment case RGB is not working, i opened the case checked the SATA cables that are coming from the PSU i tried connecting the RGB cable to different SATA cable and i get the same result the RGB works for a second and turn off, i tried more than port and some times the PC won't even start unless i plug out the RGB cable, i recorded this in the link below: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZQ-fyyQRfUBek6ymbdM1-70pxLtTpk71 I don't know where the problem is, case or PSU
  3. So the problem was occurring regardless of all the tests i have done different benchmarks and logging files shared with experts, and they say nothing shows a failure, so i decided to pull out the PSU from the case and re-plug all of the cables again maybe in different ports. so i tired that and started playing some games i played more than an hour and no shutdown, i have no idea what ive done but i still need to play more to check if its gonna happen again or not, before the PC shutdown after 2 - 5 minutes of gaming. the case I'm using is Phanteks evolve X and it has RGB, when i pulled the PSU and rearranging the cables, this RGB is gone and it just flashes for 1 second when i start the PC and it stays off the whole time, again i'm saying these because this might be indication to a problem that you can help me with.
  4. I need to try this plus I’m using extension cable for mobo from cable mod maybe it’s causing the probelm
  5. I tried to run the games on different drives and I got the same result. but thanks for your help.
  6. Btw I found external cmos button on the mobo io shield, should I use it?
  7. good thing there is a power button on the MOBO, i will do that tomorrow and comeback to you. again, thank you for your help.
  8. i got this from the MOBO manual, does it look fine to you? i'm little scared lol
  9. even if the CPU is running on normal temps?
  10. my BIOS is up to date, i will try to stress the system using heaven and prime95. i tried to install prime95 but it's not working for some reason. thanks for your help.
  11. Thanks for the fast reply, i tried DDU and reinstalled the driver and i ran Witcher 3 just 2 minutes and PC shutdown. ill try the CMOS but need sometime to google how to CMOS LOL.
  12. Hi, I just built my new PC, everything is brand new except for PSU which is Corsair HX1000i the problem occurs only when playing games like the Witcher 3 or Monster Hunter, after couple of minutes or sometimes an hour the PC shutdown completely, I monitored the temperatures for CPU and GPU and it seems fine CPU in 60~ and GPU reaches 80 Max. i tried different stress tests such as Aida 64, MSI Kombustor, Heaven Benchmark 4.0. and no crashes, only in games which is driving me crazy. here is the PC specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 ACE GPU: Geforce RTX 2080 Ti MSI Gaming X Trio Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory PSU: Corsair HX1000i (5 years old) Note: i was using old GPU Titan X Maxwell when i finished my build, after 2 weeks i bought the 2080 Ti and i had no issues in rendering using 3ds Max, but when i started playing games the problem happened. i really wish it's the PSU and not the GPU. one thing else when the PC shutdown, the memory RGB keeps going and when i try to start the PC it won't work unless i turnoff the PSU power from the back of the case then turn it on again and in that case i'm able to start the PC again. I appreciate your help.
