  1. Hi Everyone, i purchased a PowerColor Red Devil 6900XT a year ago, today i found my monitor blank and i thought it was a simple problem with the energy savings settings, but it was something worst. Maybe a GPU fail I power cycled the monitor and the pc, changed the port, used another cable (an HDMI ) instead of the DP i had, but nothing the screen was blank . I tried to connect the monitor to another source, to exclude it was the display, and it worked perfectly. I cleared the CMOS but nothing, and left just one ram module, but again, nothing. I can hear the PC booting fine, and windows 11 starting, but no image is displayed. Any help? suggestions? I'm Actually using a 1070 with some broken fans (spinning at 100% all the time) and as supposed the computer runs normally with this GPU( i had some flickering image and scan lines at the first boot (like when an old tv doesn't have signal and show white noise)but now is gone and works fine (maybe dp cable not sitted properly) GPU: Red Devil 6900XT 16GB CPU: INTEL i7 7820x Motherboard: X299 ASROCK Fatal1ty BIOS Version: Unkown RAM: 32GB BALLISTIX Tactical RGB PSU: Corsair RXi B5 1000w 80+ gold FULLY MODULAR Case: SilentiumPC Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11 latest update GPU Drivers: latest Chipset Drivers: Unknown Background Applications: Unknown Description of Original Problem. No picture Troubleshooting: Excluded a monitor problem, changed cable, powercycled
  2. The temperature shown seems correct. 23 celsius in idle, and 60-65 in Furmark stress test. The Fans are spinning at a fixed rate of 1500RPM but the indicator is 0% and i can't change anything. So the fans are doing their job, the problem is that at that speed is like to have F15 in my living room. This particular card have a little fan on the top to cool down the vrm that is really noisy. But i have to say, apart from the noise, is very well enginered, the VRM have like 3 heatpipes just for them. Found this, https://www.moddiy.com/products/4-Pin-PWM-Fan-Connector-Female-to-4-Pin-Mini-GPU-Fan-Connector-Male.html is it right?
  3. Hi Everyone! I would like some help/suggestion regarding a problem i have with a GTX 1070 INNO3d ichill x4. In other times it would have been gently escorted to the garbage can, but given the current times, this GTX 1070 is gold... I recently purchased from a friend a GTX 1070 INNO3d ichill x4, that has a problem with the fan speed. The fans are spinning at max speed and there’s no way to control them trough MSI afterburner. All the software i tried (argus, msi afterburner, the INNO3d own software), are unable to control the fans, and and show a rotation speed of 1500RPM and a temperature of 23° while the indicated speed percentage is 0%. My deduction is that the fan controller is broken so it can no longer handle the fans, but I can't be sure of that. The alternatives to not throw away the card are A) use an old Kraken G12 + a cheap aio (unfortunately all the ones I have at the moment don't seem to be compatible: liquid freezer 240mm, liquid freezer 2 120mm) B) buy a 4 pin adapter for the fans and control them through the motherboard. This last alternative is certainly the cheapest and perhaps the most sensible considering the age of the board. My question is: which cable is needed to connect the fans to the motherboard. The board seems to use a 4-pin mini cable. How do I control the fan speed from the motherboard without having a GPU temperature reference? Do you have other suggestions?
  4. I've the same problem. Switched from a perfectly fine 3070 to a 6900xt, 30 minutes ago, i wanted to give credits to AMD, but the display is completely streched i leave to 240hz windows display settings. I'm on the latest display firmware and latest adrenaline 21.6.1 ?
  5. The problem was getting worst, i wasn't able to do memtest for the multiple errors encountered at any clock and timings, while cinebench crashed everytime. I also tried by single stick and nothing. So i decided to move the kit to an Intel 7820x and while i was not able to set the clock at 4000 i was able to set It at 3600. I used on the ryzen build a Corsair dominator Platinum 3000mhz, set at 3200 and for now seems to work . (Update) new crash, and now can't set different settings for this memories, it always set ti 2100 Then i went to the crucial page just to realize that the memories are not compatible with my motherboard x570...
  6. Nope, ... I will do now. By the way also the settings i thought was safe at 3600 is now failing cinebench...
  7. i had a lot of headache but was able to set the ram at 3600 at decent (i think) timings. At first i was playing with IF and memclock, than i tried rising the voltage and find one that let me complete multiple cinebench20 tests. Still not able to complete prime95... I've a 6514 score in cinebench20, but i don't know if there's something wrong, do you see something wrong in this data
  8. Hi Everyone, i've a problem with my newest build. The build fails the small fft test with Prime95 if i set the ram at 3600 or up, no matter the voltage, i tried also to 1.40v but no luck. The problem is that the ram supposedly should ran at 4000mhz, 16x2 Crucial Ballistix Max RGB 4000mhz 19-18-18-18 I tried different things increasing voltage, disabling XMP, changing timings, the only thing that work is lowering the frequency to a maximum of 3400: this way the prime95 pass for more that 1h. I was able to exclude a CPU problem (well i think i can exclude) because at 2667mhz lowest frequency, the CPU pass the prime95 for more than an hour, also undervolted to 1.20v. I also tried with different memories (3000mhz Dominator Platinum at 3200 15-16-16-16) at 3200 and the test is passed for more than 1h with the cpu in downvolt too. Cinebench 20 runs with no problems at every clock speed, also multiple times. My parts list is the following Ryzen 3900x Mobo Gigabyte Aorus X570 I pro wifi Crucial Ballistix Max RGB 4000mhz cpu Cooler Mugen5 tuf rgb Case ITX InWin A1 I read somewhere else that i could try using Vcore offset +100 mV, or in another discussion, where the problem was related to the memory, switch VDDCR SOC Voltage to offset mode but don't know if this is the case, and plus i don't know where i can find it in the Gigabyte BIOS ...(not very familiar with it, as i'm a first time gigabyte user) Can someone please help me ? Really really upset i can't use my new build safely
  9. yes i downgraded from a B350 Fatal1ty gaming K4 because i changed the cpu, from a 2200g to a 3600x and i wanted a mb ready for the new zen2 ootb. About the Phanteks controller i wanted something cheaper: Phanteks has a kit with strips and controller for 45$ i was thinking of using one of those controllers used for the led rgb strips... but i can't find one with a molex /Sata and female connector...
  10. Hi some time ago i bought some Phanteks halo rgb addon for my Noctua fans that i controlled via the rgb header of my Asrock motherboard. Recently i changed my mb with a Msi B450m-A Pro Max that has no rgb header. There's a cheap way to control the halo leds using a standard controller? (those chinese controllers under 10$ are suitable? which one should i use?) I'm not really interested in changing effects via motherboard or other software Thanks in advance.
