Budget (including currency): $US 2000 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly Rainbow Six, streaming, recording, video editing, schoolwork Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TC9g4s Would I be better off just going for DDR4, if so what Mhz, and wait for the AMD 7000 Series or should I stick with a 6900xtxh.
  2. Budget (including currency): US$2000 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: FPS games @1080p 240hz, recording, streaming, video editing, schoolwork Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RRvxPX I can't decide whether I want a 6900xt or not or air cooling or aio. I want to overclock but i dont know how that will go with a z690. im also going for aesthetics
  3. So would my combination as seen on my pcpartpicker list not work and be a waste of money?
  4. The new 13th gen processor will last you quite a while around 5-10 years if well maintained along with your whole PC, and the only reason you'd upgrade is if you just want better performance ,but for playing 1080p at 144hz this is perfect and even 2k at 144hz it performs well. In CSGO it would get way more than the 144hz that you need especially with the 3070 so no need to worry about that. Overall with the i5-13600k and a 3070 or even 3070ti it should last you 4-5 years maybe longer, it just depends if you want to be in the new of everything.

I can't seem to decide if I want a DDR4 Z690 / Z790 or a DDR5 Z690 (DDR5 Z790 are not an option)
  6. If you plan on playing on anything less than 4k resolution its not worth it. Save some money and go down to a 13700k or even the 13600k with a 3080ti or 3090.
  7. Okay but I'm not gonna try and game on integrated graphics, and yeah if you're not gaming then I guess it will be okay but for someone who games and multitasks, a GPU would be nice to have instead of integrated graphics.
  8. Can someone tell me why everyone wants a K series processor when they can literally get a KF series at a lower price for the same specs? When you get a K series with a Graphics card the integrated graphics become totally useless so you might as well get a KF series processor right?
  9. Good to know and thank you. I did more research last night and found that out, especially the stock fans in the Meshify 2 compact run faster than the stock fans in the 4000x and I get +1 fan in the Meshify 2. However, the AIO cooler I wanted isn't being sold at the moment because there was a problem with the soldering within the pump causing high temps over time affecting the coolant mixture within the pump. According to Fractal their new fix/design should be out in the second week of November, just in time for Black Friday.
  10. Im trying to achieve good cooling however in all my builds i have never really kept an eye on temp and have been fine. i currently have a 280mm front mounted aio and 2 140mm fans on top/back
  11. but the fans in the Meshify 2 RGB and on the Lumen S28 only run at 1200rpm's and thats quite low isnt it?
  12. I'm also concerned about the stock fans that come with the case and the rpm's they run at to keep my pc cool. I had 2 sets in mind, the corsair icue 4000x and icue H115i Elite or the Fractal Design Meshify 2 RGB paired with the Fractal Design Lumen S28 RGB. If those 2 aren't good what would you recommend. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Pjd8mr
  13. Okay good to know because i'm gonna get a i5-13600KF but wasn't sure if I could go above 5600Mhz.
  14. According to Intel, the i7-13700K's memory specifications is DDR5 up to 5600Mhz and DDR4 up to 3200Mhz. So yes, it will work but i'm pretty sure it will just get capped at 5600Mhz so you're better off saving some money just getting 5600Mhz Ram.
