  1. https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/power-supplies/mwe-series/mwe-500/ This seems to be the one.
  2. Aw ok, thanks for that. As for a B550 compared to a B450, what's the real difference? Cause, price wise, it's quite a hike. I'm open to spending that bit extra though, i just want to know what benefits i'm getting. But yeah the Ryzen CPUs have really got my attention now, and i'll have to budget for whatever one i want. Thanks for the help regardless.
  3. Awww, I didn't realise that was the case with my motherboard, thanks for that. Yeah, i'm not entirely confident with building a whole pc as of yet, but i'll look into it. But, thanks for the recommendation regardless.
  4. Right now, I'm playing games like No Man's Sky and Resident Evil 2 Remake, but i want the option of playing more y'know maybe the likes of the new Doom or something along those lines. The PSU looks like a Cooler Master 500w, which I don't know if that's good just now or anything. Again, I'm very new to pcs. But, thanks for the help anyway. I'll consider these options and how much i'm willing to spend.
  5. Hey all, Currently have an intel i5-6600k, with a 1050ti, on a MSI H110M PRO-VH PLUS. After watching Linus' video on AMD's line of Ryzen chips, just want some opinions on whether or not I should swap. My main intention with my system is for Animation (3-D Modelling, Texturing, etc.) With games on the side. I've never changed out a motherboard or anything. So, my skillset is lacking. BUT, i'm eager to learn the ropes. Just want to hear some tips, tricks and/ or opinions from folks. Thanks
  6. Currently running on an i5-6600k, with a 1050ti. I mostly game on 1080p, but wanna be able to have better frame rates and run with higher texture quality, etc. Also looking for the opportunity to go more into 4k as well, but that's all dependent on price really. My motherboard is a MSI H110M Pro-VH Plus, no clue if that's a poor motherboard or anything, it's just what I got with this Amazon pre-build I got. So, if y'all could help me out with some ideas and maybe some of your experiences, that'd help a lot. Thanks.
  7. Ah ok, i understand that the thermal paste is a major thing, so that will get ordered as soon as, but using cinebench is a new thing so i will keep that in mind. Thanks for your help!
  8. No sadly he didn't. I just have the stock cooler from my current cpu. He did mention that i might have to buy a 3rd party cooler, so i hope those won't be too difficult to find the right one. And, yeah i've tried watching a bunch of installation videos but just needed some feedback regarding MY set up y'know. But, thanks for the reply!
  9. Hi everyone, So, I've never upgraded a pc before. But, i've been trying figure out the best way to upgrade the workstation i have. My friend has given me his old Intel i5- 6600k cpu and thought about starting there (also it was free). I'm still a little wary of upgrading such a major component, so is anything major that i need to look out for. I.e: is the cpu correct? do i need to do a bios update? do i need to reinstall windows? I know the question is pretty broad, but i don't want to just jump in the deep end. Thanks for your time, eSauce p.s: My current motherboad and cpu down below:
