  1. My friend just built a new PC, and we think its underperforming but we dont know why, here's the PC spec: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x (with stock cooler) GPU: Zotac RTX 3060ti Twin Edge OC 8GB RAM: Corsair 2x8GB 3200Mhz cl16 SSD: WD SN550 M.2 1TB MOBO: B550 Aorus elite v2 PSU: Corsair RMX750X 750W 80+ Gold Case: Nova Mesh SE white ( 4 preinstalled fans) The issue is she plays Apex on lowest settings 1080p, and it barely reachs 144 fps, its 70 fps on drop ship, 120 fps after landing and 70 fps on fights, on any map, even my old GTX 1060 does better than that. And we checked videos and it all shows stable 200+ fps with same settings. We tried to check everything including reinstalling windows but the issue remains, she mounted the PC herself with the help of her neightbour, she has nothing in her PC and no start up programs. here's some stats when she plays Apex: GPU power ~180W GPU boost ~2000Mhz GPU temp: ~80 C CPU Boost ~ 4.6Ghz Power mode: high perfomance Any help is appreciated
  2. but i've read ppl saying that at this moment Intel has the best gaming perfomance, Amd is better only if u do video editing / things like 3D marks which involve huge storage process, cuz in that case its a lot faster having more cores, but just on gaming intel is still a bit better? cuz the 9900k is ~500$ and around the same price there is the ryzen 9 3900x, even tho the 3900x has more cores, the 9900k still has better gaming perfomance, or at least thats what i see here in this link, so why not go for intel when its just for gaming? https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-9-3900X-vs-Intel-Core-i9-9900K/4044vs4028
  3. thanks for the replies, after reading everything i went to check each parts and Herman was right, i should've said Spain on the post to make it easier, cuz i realized there were some parts that werent accesible on spain, or the price was just too high, for example in Spain the HP Ex920 is more expensive than the 970 evo things like that. so i've spent some time rechecking everything and changed few parts, here is the list i created, didnt include the monitor cuz still have to talk with my friend about it. lemme know if there's some issue or something that can be improved. about the 2TB Firecuda i thought since there's already a ssd for system boosting / game, then the 2nd storage would be good if it was HDD only for storage use, but maybe im missing some point. here's the list: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor (€491.51 @ Coolmod) CPU Cooler: Corsair H150i PRO 47.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (€172.42 @ Amazon Espana) Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (€218.32 @ Amazon Espana) Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (€162.95 @ PC Componentes) Storage: Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (€133.55 @ Amazon Espana) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€69.89 @ Amazon Espana) Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11 GB ROG Strix Gaming OC Video Card (€1354.25 @ PC Componentes) Case: Aerocool P7-C0 ATX Mid Tower Case (€99.99 @ Amazon Espana) Power Supply: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€103.94 @ PC Componentes) Total: €2806.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-02-15 07:50 CET+0100
  4. no the monitor is using different budget, the ~2800 euro is just for the pc, dont count the monitor in (also he doesnt want curved monitor xD)
  5. u can count the monitor separated, its 3k the pc budget and the monitor is using a different budget. also does different 2080ti card have different perfomance? cuz the EVGA one is like the cheapest of all and idk if it has the same perfomance than the other ones cuz the difference is like hundreds of dollars
  6. Spain, ~2800 euro so around 3k dollars i think. (the monitor is using different budget)
  7. So a friend is going to move into new house soon (~1month)) , and he wants to build an 'ultimate' gaming pc with the best perfomance possible that can be done once and last him many years without needing to upgrade again. (we're from spain) His budget is ~2.8k €, he plays 3A games like Assassin Creed:Odyssey / The Witcher 3 etc, he doesnt stream, doesnt overclock and want a pc that have specs like i9-9900k / rtx 2080ti / 32G RAM / 1TB SSD plus HHD etc, or anything with better perfomance if possible cuz he will only use it for gaming. any advice is welcomed, also he needed advice for a monitor suitable for the new build (different budget than the 3k, dont count the monitor on the 3k build), an 144hz /2k resolution / IPS if possible / gsync monitor (not curved) would be good for him since he doesnt play FPS games that much. any advice is welcomed and ty for the help
  8. yea its not SSD and RAM itself what makes the difference, he said its the Support from the manufacturers what makes the difference, in case of exchange etc, not so reliable like the big ones, and less warranty
  9. Thanks for all the answers, it really helped a lot. all options are very attractive to me, but after some thinkings i picked the 1st as best option for my friend, not because the others are worse, i personally would pick the 2nd or 3rd since it has stronger perfomance, but since my friend is a rookie on PC and she's a casual player instead of a hardcore player like me (at least atm), i picked the safest option for her cuz it has better support in case anything is not working, so she can fix it without having to worry so much, and yeah ty again for all the help, we really appreciate it
  10. Thanks in advance to everyone who clicked the post and tried to help me. i'll explain it long story short. A friend of mine plays PS4 and she wants to switch to PC in 1-2 months, she's a student and she's new to the PC so she was asking help. I tried to help her but im new to this too, She lives in California and im from Europe so most things i've searched doesnt work for her T-T. Any help is appreciated, here's all her conditions: 1- She Plays Apex Legends among other Single / multiplayer games. 2- She Streams. 3- Her budget is ~800$ for the whole PC (including cases / MB etc). no monitor needed. 4- She doesnt know how to mount a PC, idk how she's gonna build it or where will she buy it from 5- I thought about Ryzen 2600X & RX580, 16GB Ram, 1 SSD& 1 HDD or something similar / better if possible. Any advice is welcomed, and tyvm. I wish i knew more things about pc parts >.<
