  1. I'm guessing 144hz is pretty much guaranteed with a G-Sync monitor? Like I said, I'm only really concerned with getting 60 frames out of it. I haven't actually set one yet. I'm looking to get an idea of what people like before I decide how much I want to spend. Weird, I know, but that's where I'm at.
  2. So I'm looking to grab up a 1070 somewhere in the near future. From everything I've seen, this card is capable of maxing out games at 60fps on a 1440p monitor. I'm currently gaming on an Asus 1080p IPS monitor, and I'm more than willing to make a monitor my next upgrade after the card. I'm looking for recommendations though. My requirement is 60fps while maxing current games. G-Sync sounds enticing... But do I want a 1440p or a 16:9? I've only ever gamed on one monitor so I'm not sure. Same goes for the different techs too. Any reason to get anything other than IPS? Really just looking for recommendations. Thanks guys!
  3. Shenmue 3, Final Fantasy VII Remake and The Last Guardian all revealed on the same day AT THE SAME E3 PRESS CONFERENCE. Hold me.
  4. What's your opinion on the Note 4? I was mostly looking at Nexus for stock and size.
  5. If I were to go Samsung, I'd probably get the Note 4. Opinion on that? So would the method of doing this be buying a Z3 full price and then taking it to AT&T? Also, in response to the only thing I've heard about Nexus 6, why shouldn't I go that route?
  6. From what I've seen, the new HTC isn't that great, and last I checked AT&T doesn't offer any Sony phones. Otherwise that's exactly what I would do lol.
  7. So my mom is switching to AT&T because lower bills, and said I'll get a new phone. That's great, because as much as I love my Xperia Z3v, its had its issues. Automatically, I'm leaning toward the Nexus 6. However, I've been seeing a bunch of talk about a tech jump coming soon. What's the info on this? And is it worth trying to convince her to wait a few months? I've been a bit out of the mobile tech department since getting the Z3v.
  8. I'm curious. I only have one MSI 970, and I've thought about getting a second. But my question is, why do people always recommend a stronger single GPU? It seems like a lot of the time, for the same budget, you can get more performance out of two cheaper cards for the same price as one more expensive card.
  9. That could very well be exactly what I need... Thank you!
  10. Either would work I think. Just need one that won't break the bank but will hold the phone.
  11. I'm not sure if we're really ready to start live streaming everything as we can barely get a proper schedule for recording and posting lol. On mics, the Yeti's are something I've looked into, everyone seems to up them. OBS could go towards our wanting to do more playing stuff though. Like teaching one guy Dark Souls. 0_0 Does it game capture? We also already have the gmail account set up, its just the lack of people wanting to participate. I'll make sure to PM him as soon as I post this! Video is definitely something I want to get in ASAP, and I feel my phone can handle it. I just need a tripod or something to hold it up.
  12. NOTE: I'm REALLY trying not to advertise here. This isn't to get views or anything. This site helped me a lot with building my PC, I want to see if anyone can help me in building something else. Me and three buddies at school started a games podcast. I feel like its going great in that we're all enjoying it. However, I'm not really sure where to go at this point. Equipment wise, we're all broadcasting students so we have a bit of a headstart. We use one of our production studios, which gives us a computer to record with Adobe Audition 3.0, and two Audio Technica condenser microphones with two people on each one. I think it works fine for the most part, but we are eventually not going to be in school anymore, and will probably want to continue this afterwards. So what hardware and software would you guys recommend using? I also want to eventually expand it to a video as well instead of just the audio. Problem is, we're broke college kids who can't afford a camera. However, I feel my Xperia Z3's camera could work well enough... Any thoughts on that? Last two things. As of right now, we're only on Soundcloud and YouTube. Where should we go? We're interested in doing this long term and want to try and build a community to talk to and bring in more. As of right now, our current format is a random talk segment about things like what we've been playing, then we go into the news of the week, and the last segment is game deals of the week. We'd like to do a community mail/questions thing, but we need the community first lol. Also, what are your opinions on that kind of format? I'm gonna link our channel. We've got five episodes up. Again, I'm not trying to self promote, I just want recommendations and advice. So please, lead me LTT. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc5eXv-ziOhyoyAfa0-OoqA
  13. Gotcha. I'll give it a shot, and if it doesn't work, maybe my dad will be willing to trade lol. Thank you (and everyone else!) for your help.
  14. My dock does work. I'm simply worried that my model might be one of the few that it won't work with, due to reviews I'm seeing and what one cord even put in its description.
