  1. This is the second time this has happened since I’ve had my system. I was able to fix it many months ago, but for the last few weeks the RAM I have (Trident Z Royal 32GB) has not been an option in the Aura Sync tab in Armoury Crate. I’ve researched how to possibly fix this and have uninstalled the program many times and cleaned the registry out as well as deleting other files that may cause it to fix itself. Does anyone know how to fix this issue with devices not appearing? Just trying to have a setup that finally works 110%.
  2. I really hope not, I just RMAed that too in case that was the cause of the first issue. Hardware issues are annoying because it can be so many different things
  3. They gave me the same board just with some mild repairs. I wasn’t getting the lift with the new CPU right before I RMAed the mobo. When this light is on it says in the manual the 8-pin isn’t recognized so I wonder if the connector it self is bad or the cable is just bad.
  4. I did just RMA it and haven’t had this problem prior to sending it back. But I just RMAed the PSU, CPU ( Ryzen 7 3700x), and the RAM. For a problem and the problem was completely fixed after the RAM and motherboard came back and I was finally able to boot back into my system.
  5. I just got my motherboard back from ASUS (Crosshair VIII Hero), and the Red CPU light by the 8-pin connector is on. If it isn’t the cable or reseating the CPU doesn’t work then what do I try? The Front IO also doesn’t work now but the LEDs go on from the motherboard Front IO header.
  6. Fixed a problem, put a CPU and RAM in my system and it finally Boots. I now get the q-code 61 before the code OC. My computer will loop booting if I don’t go into the BIOS. The system freezes while in the BIOS when the code OC hits. Cannot boot into the Boot drive. Is that the issue? I’ll get the BSOD with pixels on it. The CPU (Ryzen 3700x) has a core voltage of 1.09-1.2v (about) and my old CPU was consistent around at 1.37v. Any Ideas?
  7. I’ll give that a try as well. I’m flashing it right now. Hope it’s a quick fix instead of long one. I didn’t know you could flash the BIOS without the CPU installed. Good tip, thank you!
  8. Thank you for the link! I’m trying this first thing tomorrow since it was on my troubleshooting list. Can you clarify the last statement you made? It’s a little confusing how it’s worded.
  9. I’ll try the BIOS recovery too. I do feel like it’s CPU or Motherboard related. I had an issue with the USB ports before and USB 2.0 headers
  10. I did take the CMOS battery out and the PC sit a bit with out it in it. But it may be the CPU for some reason. I will also try unplugging the drives from the board as well.
  11. Well 0d means “Reserved for future AMI SEC error codes” and E8 means “S3 resume failed.” I have also gotten 06 which is “Microcode loading” and OE which means “microcode not found.” And the GPU is installed which confuses me. I’ve been looking all the codes up that I get to get an idea, but OC shows up after a minute.
  12. Hello, I tried a soft overclock on my system (Ryzen 7 3700x, ASUS ROG Crosshair viii Hero (Wi-Fi), AMD 5700xt) and it wasn’t something I haven’t tried before. The system shut off and would not boot back up. I tried clearing CMOS, removing the CMOS battery (and in the process I took out the GPU), removing the RAM, And tried booting into safe mode. Nothing has worked. I usually get the same codes 0d and E8 then it’ll change to the code OC on the motherboard with the White VGA led lit up. Anyone have any idea on what to do or what the problem may be? I haven’t taken the CPU out yet.
  13. How do you tell if you have a faulty motherboard? I have an ASUS Crosshairs Viii (Wi-Fi) had a problem where my fans would disconnect from from a Corsair command pro. And I witches the USB 2.0 header and it fixed that issue. And then I had issues with my peripherals disconnecting from the back USB ports until I figured out a good configuration (before I fixed the fan problem). Now nothing disconnects but would this show as an imbalance somewhere in the board and affect other hardware??
  14. I noticed I started dropping frames in Fortnite then other games a few days later. Noticed that in MSI Afterburner (watching the voltage chart for GPU) the voltage will go to what the card is told in that app or the Radeon software. But then will drop to the lowest voltage 725 mV. And the I believe the frames follow this fluctuation. Any fix?
