  1. Like in the title, I’m wondering if this gpu will be supported by the mobo? I got a bit scared that the gpu is not listed on the qvl list on the MSI website. There is only a normal 1660 and 1660 Ti, but not 1660 Super OC. Does anyobody have experience with this combination?
  2. Even if it's B-die? Then I'd rather get Ripjaws V, which ate on the qvl and they suppose to run at 3200MHz out of the box. Thank you anyways.
  3. Hi. I found this B-die ram G.Skill Flare X (F4-3200C14D-16GFX) but the problem is that it does not appear on the MSI website on the QVL list: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK-MAX#support-mem-19 It's really confusing because on G.Skill website the MSI b450 Tomahawk Max is listed in the QVL for this ram: https://www.gskill.com/qvl/165/170/1535961634/F4-3200C14D-16GFX-Qvl Now which one to trust? Even if it is supported, will it run 3200MHz? Does anybody have experience with this combination?
  4. Like in the title. Which one would you guys go for? This will be my first build. I went with the Ryzen 5 3600 as CPU, but I see that Tomahawk Max will not require me to do anything and it will just work from the start, while Martar Titanium needs a BIOS update. Is that true? For now I'm leaning more towards MT but mainly because of how neat it looks. However, the looks is not everything =D Let me know what you think.
  5. I’m not sure if you meant maybe Nvidia. I don’t have any Radeon components. Besides do I need to download drivers for anything besides gpu? I read that if I don’t allow the XMP profile then the ram will run on the lowest speed possible. Is that correct? If so, then I technically should enable it. But I’ll that work with my cpu and the stock cooler? I read a lot of people having problems to boot after enabling it.
  6. Hello. I'm about to build my first PC and I am a little bit confused about the process that one should go through after building. Literally every video I watched had something about some XMP profile for ram in BIOS that has to be changed, but then my friend told me to not change anything because it will mess things up. Therefore, I'm a bit confused now. I am not really sure if it pays of to do any OC in the beginning either. I'm a newbie, so I wouldn't even know where to start. But aside from installing Windows, what else should I change, set up etc. before I get to install drivers and then games? Also, should I update BIOS? What drivers will I need exactly? My specs: Mobo: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 + the cooler that comes with it Ram: G.Skill Flare X, 3200MHz, 14-14-14-34, 16 GB (B-die) GPU: GTX 1660 Super OC, DDR6, 6GB PSU: Corsair rm650x Storage: Kingston A2000 M.2 nVME, 500GB
  7. Thank you so much fro writing this! This has to be the best explanation on this subject out there.
  8. Ok, but what about for example Kingston A2000 intern M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD 500 GB? Would it be better going for that rather than regular sata? Because I see the price is kinda the same.
  9. Hello, I'm planning on buying storage for my first build. I am just not sure if to go with normal sata or nvme. I only know that in the beginning I want to go for the 500gb, as I splashed more cash than I wanted on other components. So far my build is: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Ram: Flare X, 3200MHz, 16GB (B-die) Mobo: MSI 450B Tomahawk Max PSU: Corsair rm650x GPU: -Not bought yet but considering GTX 1660 Super or RX570 / RX580 In addition I think I am going to have an extra HDD drive 1TB, so it will come in handy for storage. Purpose: Mainly gaming, but also light video editing, learning Premiere Pro and After Effects. I will not be using 4k footage at this point. What would you recommend? And is it ok, if I install the OS, Premiere and for example 3-4 games on that one drive without partitioning it? Or will it become slow? Should I be moving the files for the current project to that drive from the HDD? I know 500GB is not much, but it has to do for now. I hope you'll be able to recommend something other than Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB SSD, as it's a bit pricey. Some alternative?
  10. *screams behind closed teeth in have been holding for a month already*
  11. Alright, thank you. But Does it mean it's still B-Die when it's technically on the mobo's manufacturer website but not that particular version? Or did I paid a lot for the feature that's not there.
  12. I am probably not gonna buy it, but I wonder if the prices of other cards, particularly GTX 1660 / 1660 Super or Radeon rx 570 / 580 will drop after the release of the new rx 5600 rx. What do you guys think? I am building my first PC and I’m wondering if to wait with being GPU to spare some cash.
  13. Thank you! Hmm. That ram is not on the list, now I have a confirmation from the store that it is the model that the price comparing site suggested. Do you think it will be a problem?
  14. It's still the same empty page. I tried on 3 different devices on 2 different networks and it doesn't work.
