  1. So I bought my buddy's rig from him and wanted to replace the i7 in his pc with my i5 but neither one of the computers would boot now? I tried resetting cmos but nothing changed. My desktop does nothing when I press the power button but all the lights inside are on and the lights on the motherboard are on without blinking. The other pc turns on for 1 sec and shuts off. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
  2. I wonder if I can use the technique that Linus used in his video with the mining card and using the onboard DVI port on my motherboard.
  3. I guess I'll have to go with that. I've had this monitor for a while now and it already broke once so I agree. This is the replacement they sent me that's been working fine for now. Thanks for the help!
  4. Yeah it is a GN246HL. I just upgraded from a RX 590 but without 144hz it's definitely a downgrade atm...Are there any cheaper adapters for less than $100 that could work?
  5. So I just got my RTX 2060 today and found out that the hdmi port on my 144hz monitor won't do more than 60hz...the 2060 doesn't have a DVI port so I'm stuck figuring out if I can even get this setup to work at all. Any suggestions?
  6. Well, after I switched it didn't recognize the device. But after a couple of minutes while I was downloading the drivers it recognized it. But I still installed the drivers anyways. I didn't uninstall them, just installed it over the old one.
  7. Yeah I did. It was before I got my new psu. I changed it because I was getting some weird graphical glitches that would restart my computer.
  8. Okay so I read that a 16x slot has more bandwidth than a 4x (obviously). And then realized that the slot I was using my graphics card on was 4x not 16x. I have a Gigabyte 970a-d3 motherboard and it has 2 pci e slots. One is 16x and the other is 4x. So I switched to 16x today and I now I get less performance for some reason. I used to get like a lot more fps when I was playing bf4 on the 4x slot than now. My fps would never go below 50 but now it does. Any ideas?
  9. I got it from a friend. We switched our cooler. I got the liquid, he got the air Don't worry...mine was stock. It's LCLC so I can't ask for much.
  10. I mean it kinda runs weird now. But I thought it was smart to do that so it will adjust the fan with the temp. But 675000 RPM...my computer would be literally flying in the room. Or it would turn into a black portal. sucking everything into itself D:
