I am looking for software to tag photo and video files with search terms. Anything else, like being able to see the Geo location of those files on a map or add metadata is a plus. The software needs to work both on Mac and PC. All files will be centrally located on a server. Users will need to be able to add tags on their local machine and have those tags available for viewing or editing by another user on their own machine.
I left the company where I purchased a Studio Network Solutions Evo. This server comes with their Share Browser which would work great, however I am at a nonprofit now and this is out of our price range.
I have tried ACDSee; it works great for Mac or PC, but not both. I have also tried Adobe Bridge; it works fine for one machine, however I have been unable to make it work for users on multiple machines even with putting the cash on the server (I may be doing something wrong).
