  1. Brought this up with MSI. So far they have suggested to re-install the drivers and that the monitor is the problem. I still think it's the graphics card, given there are no problems when the monitor is plugged into on-board graphics. I've narrowed the cause down to a video signal being sent through the graphics card BEFORE Windows loads. E.g. if CPU graphics is set as primary adapter in BIOS, no signal is sent via the graphics card until Windows loads and realises that the monitor is connected to the graphics card and switches over to that - no video problems. If I set the graphics card as primary, I get all of the above problems that only disappear after I re-plug the monitor. EDIT: Could it be the graphics card BIOS being slow to load?
  2. Found a work around: After trawling google, I found only one thread that described a similar problem. There the solution was to disable "fast startup" in Windows. This, however, didn't solve my problem. I tried to enter BIOS to poke around in there, but the noise and flickering was too intense to be able to do anything (re-plugging the monitor before Windows loaded didn't fix the problem). I thought I could use on-board graphics in the meantime (to avoid wearing out the cable port in my graphics card), but the onboard ports were not functional and in Device Manager, I noticed that I didn't have an entry for integrated motherboard graphics. This meant I had no choice but to persevere through the noise and try to enable IGPU in BIOS. When I enabled IGPU in BIOS, I didn't change the video ports and the next thing I saw was a noise-free image of the logon screen. Now, this means I don't get a signal to the monitor (plugged into graphics card) until the Windows logon screen loads, but it also fixed the noise and flickering problem. If anyone knows of a proper solution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Everything is brand new, but what do I return? The monitor? The graphics card? EDIT: What could it be if re-plugging the monitor fixes everything?
  4. With every reboot - I get visual noise on my monitor. The noise commences on the boot screen and flickering starts when it gets to the Win 10 logon screen. My monitor has in-built speakers and audio noise also occurs. When I un-plug and re-plug the monitor, all noise and flickering stops and everything works perfectly, only to return when I reboot the PC.This happens when the monitor is connected via HDMI and DisplayPort.System:Intel 8700K in Asus Prime Z390-AMSI RTX 2070 Ventus GPwith Philips 253V7LJAB/75Any ideas?
