Hi Altecice Thanks for the reply. Right I was starting to think whether that was the case with the OC stability. It's weird I've only had these problems when upgrading to Windows 10. I shall try reducing my OC and letting you know. Thanks for the advice. -
Hi everyone I'm need in need of some help. I have a EVGA 980 Classified GPU, overclocked to 1598mhz. I have never had an issue before and didn't have a problem earlier today, however while I was playing Cities Skylines my clock speed dropped to 598. To see if it was stuck I loaded up the Witcher 3 on ultra settings and the speed didn't change, so I started a stress test and again it wouldn't go above or below 598. When my clock speed changes and sticks to 598MHz and I load the Witcher, everything speeds up but graphics look the same. I have looked on EVGAs precision X and GPU Z and both software show the clock speed being stuck at 598MHz. As a quick solution I put my 980 Classified back to EVGA's default overclock and restart my PC. Once the computer loads back up my clock speed is no longer stuck and is back to its normal 1038MHz. Once loaded I reload my overclock profile and the speed changes depending on the load. However the clock speed is slow to change from 1598MHz to 1038MHz. I'm really unsure what to do and how to resolve this. Any advice on this will be so appricated. Thanks to everyone taking the time to read this.

I have since tried my Bose headphones and with them the left is significantly quieter than the right. There seems to be annoying problem with Windows 10 audio even with the latest drivers

Thanks for the reply. Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm not sure where I set this. I have looked in Audio manager and I can't see the setting for 2.1 and 2.0. I can find Stereo and surround sound settings.

Hi everyone I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I am having with my speakers. I have Bose Companion 3 Series 2 speakers connected to my PC which is running Windows 10. My computer has the Asus Maximus Hero VII motherboard and the latest Realtek drivers. However Since upgrading to Windows 10 I have noticed that no sound is playing in my right speaker. When performing a audio test I can see the audio bars moving, when playing in the right speaker channel but no sound is played. I have tested the speakers on my TV and tried my Bose speakers which are normally used with the TV. However with both sets of speakers I get the same problem, and they both work fine on my TV. I have reinstalled the Realtek drivers from the Realtek site and from Asus website but nothing seems to be working. When I unplug my left speaker I do get sound out of the right but it is very quite even when on full volume. But when the left speaker is plugged the right speaker doesn't play any sound. The only driver I haven't update is my BIOS which is still running the same version when I had Windows 8.1. Could that a potential reason? Both speakers plug into a subwoofer which then has a audio lead that plugs into the green Front Speaker Out. I have tried the other colours but they don't work. I am really stuck as to why this is happening. If anyone can provide any advice or help I would be extremely grateful. Thanks for taking the time to read my message.

Hi everyone thanks for all the replies really appreciated! Its good to know you need the same card. I always thought you could SLI two NVIDA or AMD cards if they were the same architecture, such as Maxwell. Sorry if that is a silly thought.

Hi everyone I was wondering what opinion do people have on which GPU to get for my second card. I have decided that I want to SLI and I already have the 980 classified by EVGA but I'm unsure what to get for the second card. I was thinking a 980ti, if that is possible to put them in SLI. If it can got be put into SLI then I'm really interested to know what 980ti GPU people recommend and what they have done. My system is a Corsair 900D (air cooled apart from AIO CPU) with positive pressure. I have the Maximus Hero VII motherboard. My airflow is all intake, with one exhurst out the rear of the case. I have 5 cooler master fans and the rest all being Noctua Industrial PPC fans at 3000 RPM. The total number of fans I have is 13. Thank to everyone who has taken the time to read this and I look forward to seeing your recommendations.

Hi Caotain WD thanks so much for the reply and sorry for my late response. I checked and it turned out it was formatted to MBR. I have turned it to GPT and I can now use the full 3TB. Thanks for the help, it was really appreciated.

Intel Rapid Storage shows two drives as RAID1 and in my Bios setting it is set to RAID within the SATA config. I can see the RAID in BOOT options as well. I have never done RAID before so that's why I used the easy tuner that ASUS provides in the Hero VII BIOS. I selected the 2 drives when performing the setup but what do I need to look for in the BIOS that shows the 2 drives? When looking at Disk Manager it shows Disc 0 with 2794.52GB but with 746.52GB unallocated. When I click on the unallocated space I cannot do anything as all the options are disabled. Sorry if this is really stupid and hopefully I've made some sense. Thanks again

Hi everyone I have two 3TB hard drives set in RAID1. I set up the RAID through the Asus Maximus Hero VII easy settings. I know that with RAID1 you don't get double the storage such as 6TB but I thought you just get 3TB. However when I log into my PC and go to disk manager in Windows 8.1 I can only select 1.5TB with the rest un-selectable. Have I done something wrong, or is there something I need to do extra? I also abled the Intel Fast Storage option in the BIOS, and the Intel RAID shows the drives as RAID1. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi guys On the weekend my ROG Swift's g-sync light is always on, even when I am just on desktop. Also the games I have G-SYNC turned off for in the NVIDIA Control Panel, now have the red light on when playing. I can only seem to get the red light turn white again when I untick 'Enable G-SYNC' in the NVIDIA Control Panel. However before the weekend the monitor worked fine with the red light only coming on for games I had enabled G-SYNC. Also when I was on desktop the red light would go off and my monitor would be in 'Normal' mode. This issue has now stopped me from using ULMB mode as the monitor is stuck in 'NVIDIA G-SYNC' mode, unless I disable in the control panel. I am running the latest NVIDIA driver which was released for GTA V. I found on the ROG forum someone mentioned that this is normal with the latest and it is supposed to be on now but when I contacted ASUS they didn't confirm this. They suggested selecting the reset option on the monitor and after I said about the driver they suggested to try installing the latest available driver directly from the developer excluding that specific patch. I'm a bit doubtful that this will work. I was wondering has anyone else with a ROG Swift been having this issue and whether they have been able to resolve it, or if this is due to the latest driver and it is supposed to happen? Hi computer gurus I am currently having a blue screen error appearing randomly. The error is: system service exception (netio.sys). The computer then restarts and boots fine. The crash happens really randomly and at the moment has only happened when the system hasn't had much load. The PC was running fine at 4.6GHz until I did the recent Windows 8.1 update. I would be so so grateful if someone could help me with this as I'm worrying like mad with it as I have no clue how to fix it and stop it from happening again.
